I just want to get tips on how to concieve with my first one it took me awhile to get pregnant. I have been trying some things but it seems to not be working, I have tooken so many pg tests already and they come out negative. Whats the best time of day to do stuff and so forth. I have been also trying to limit my caffiene intake, and am taking prenatal vitamins even though I have not concieved yet. I have been trying to not stress as well, have had nothing to really stress over about. I have been also taking the ovulation test to see when im more fertile but I haven't been/ Any tips would be grateful, we are trying for a second because I cannot have no more children after this.

What can I do next?

The best advice....stop trying. My husband and I tried for several months withbour second our first one was a one shot deal. We got pregnant at about 9 months of trying. Unfortunately we miscarried in november. I told my doctor I didn't want to try until june, well we got pregnant in february because we stopped putting mind to it. The more you stress the more chances you have of not getting pregnant

KNOW your ovulation symptoms.

There are also free "ovulation calendars" online.
Try that.
I did with my 1st pregnancy.

Go on a weekend vacation, just the 2 of you; it's worked for a lot of my friends. I used to do the every other day thing during ovulation. Also, don't think too much about it. Good luck!

stop stressing. learn the signs of ovulation. I would plot my period into the babycenter.com ovulation tracker to get a good idea of my likely days, but I noticed certain signs. more mucous, I felt hotter (increased body temperature), more horny, a tiny bit of abdominal pain, and a tiny bit of spotting. I wasn't religious about "okay, we can only do it on day 1 and day 3" or "we can't do it until I ovulate." My philosophy was the more the better the chances. I elevated my pelvis and legs after too. If you don't think you are ovulating, your doc can jump start your cycle by giving you a week of Provera. We did that for baby 1 and got pregnant the next month. good luck

An excellent book to read while trying to conceive is "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" by Toni Weschler, MPH. It will help you learn about how your body works so you can give yourself the best chance at conception. Achieving pregnancy may take up to a year of trying even in normal, healthy women without known health concerns. Keep the process fun and try to just enjoy life while you wait. I really worked hard trying to conceive my second child for 5 months, and the 6th month I gave up and that's the month I conceived. Best wishes! R. nurse midwife Mom of 3
