NEVER heard that one! Totally FALSE!!!
It depends on the mother, the labor, and the size/position of the baby. NOT the gender.
Is it true that having a boy hurts more than having a girl? or does it all depend on the person?

Do you mean before they are born or after? ;)
ummm...it hurts to have a baby.
C., like everyone has said, it hurts to have a baby. But everyone's pain levels are different. My nurses were asking me if I could feel the contractions and I couldn't. I guess it should have been hurting by that time.
Best wishes...really you will be fine.
What nasty people are telling you stories to frighten you?
Stay away from those people.
Do not pay them any attention.
Go to the public library and read books instead.
Thanks for asking.
We don't want you to worry.
Ask us other stuff too, if you'd like.
You'll get much better information here
than from the (_________ select your own icky adjectives) people
who are trying to frighten you.
Don't listen to old wives tales. Every pregnancy and every delivery is different. My second child, a boy, was a painless birth...yes, painless. The doctor who did my epidural did a wonderful job of numbing me. The last birth was natural and it hurt. So, every situation is different. Relax and breathe...you'll be just fine:)
I think it is all on the baby. My daughter hurt worse than the son..... BUT I was in labor with her 19 hours and he cam early and only a few hours. Just enjoy it.
TOTALLY FALSE! Each pregnancy and delivery is different. I've had one of each and the 2 experiences couldn't have been more different - but only because one of the 2 was WAY BIGGER than the other one, was my first child, I was induced and there were complications! My only advice to you is to enjoy your pregnancy - its the only time in your life that your baby (regardless of whether boy or girl) is all yours! Before you know it, you'll be wishing you could tuck your baby safely back inside! :) Do not listen to "old wives tales" and any person who likes telling "scary stories" regarding deliveries! Just relax, breathe, and before you know it the bundle of joy will be in your arms and the pain will be forgotten! :) Good luck!!
OMG....I have never, ever heard/read this one before! Put a smile on my face!
All 3 of my deliveries HURT! Each one bearable enough to get the job done, though! ....oh, 2 boys & 1 girl. Both boys were vaginal, one with epidural....one natural. Our daughter was a C-section. Good Luck!
False.
It does not matter... which gender.
FALSE!
It hurts no matter the gender :)
I have never heard that one!! Every birth is different, just like each pregnancy is different. Get an epidural and you will be fine. I went natural (not by choice) with both of my children and although I survived, lol!! I think having the same result with much less pain is the way to go. You will forget the pain as soon as they put that beautiful baby in your arms!! Good luck!!
Every pregnancy is different and it has nothing to do with the gender. You and how you are built plays a role too but nothing is guaranteed. You could have a quick 4 hour labor and easy delivery for one kid and then C-Section the next, there is not true predictor.
Good luck.
Just adding to the "False". I have a boy and a girl-the girl hurt more. But, keep in mind that *every* pregnancy is different. I could have another girl and have no problems. There is no way to know.
False.....never heard this one. I have had 3 girls and 2 boys. I believe they were all the same.
False! Never heard of that one.
.
false. it does not matter the sex of the baby. its the body of the mother. Good luck!
False! I had both. My first one was a girl and hurt worse then the 2nd or the 3rd.
It must depend on the person - my daughter hurt a LOT and took 14 hours of labor...my son took 6 hours of labor and I was pushing him out before the doctor even finished with the local...no drugs for either one...full sensation...
False. Depends on so many other variables but gender is not one
FALSE!!! And I believe It depends on age as well. I was 26 when I had my son (20 yrs ago) 5 hr labor and he was a breeze...enough to make me wanna have another. Then came along my daughter 10 yrs later at 36. My blood pressure went sky-high, had to be induced 7 weeks early. She weighed 3 lbs 10 ozs, lost down to 3 lbs 2 ozs, was in the hospital 3 weeks and I was in labor 11 hrs. Boys DO NOT hurt more than girls! Good Luck:)

WOW.. I have never heard this, my first was hurt more than my second, which my daughter was first, 2 oz lighter, 9.1; my son second 9.3...she had a bigger head, that area never experience anything that big going in or out...
That's one "old wives tale" I've not heard AND I thought I'd heard them all. I can't imagine that you'd be able to tell the difference between having a boy or a girl. Don't be so anxious about the birthing process - it's a natural process that's been happening for centuries. Good Luck.
