Travel Potty and Family Toilet Seat

J., Get the fold up seat. It fold into quarters and can be slipped into a plastic bag. I got mine at babies r us. It is compact and portable and great for little ones in public rest rooms. They have something to hold on without the fear of falling in.

At home I have a potty that is also a stool. I opted to train her on that first, then move to the big toilet. The seat is removable and can be inserted on top of the big seat for her comfort. And the stool can be used to help step up the the big toilet with out your help. I throw this in the car for long car rides-just in case.

If you need something just for travel I would find a fold up portable one. That is what we used for both of our kids and it worked just fine. it cleaned up easy adn had its own carry bag. It was easy to fit into a diaper bag or backpack also. I ordered mine fromone of the many child product catalogs but it has been a while. I would think they would be in stores like babies r us also.

I would (and did) take along one of the $10 seats from WalMart. The kind you just place on a regular toilet seat. My girls never used a potty chair, they thought it was gross and when I bought the simple little padded seat we had almost instant success! We took it on our vacation....and I even found a folding version later on just for trips! No fuss, no muss, easy to clean in a sink or tub with simple soap and water!

Hi, I don't use the portable potty seats, so I don't have a suddestion for those (We use the disposable potty toppers with Elmo or Dora, etc.) But at home we do use the ones that you install with a flip up seat for kids. They are great. I have three kids and two of them have trained on them. I think the ones we got have "Dr." in the name (Dr. Merryweather?) I'm sure they have more now, but when we got them, we had to order online and there weren't many options. But we love them!

I have a foldable seat with it's own plastic bag (it's really just a zip loc kind of bag) that I ordered from One Step Ahead. It only goes to 40lbs though. But, I have since seen them at Wal-Mart stores in the baby section over with the pull-ups.

I just got a Potette Plus(not the regular one)for my daughter from Amazon.com and it seems pretty good. It was not expensive and she(who just started potty training not long ago) used it as soon as I got it in both ways(as a portable potty and on a toilet). This thing seems pretty clever and small, and cute too. I do have to say spending money on the Potette disposable bag was kind of a waste. I think regular plastic bag from a grocery store would work just fine.
I hope you find something that works for you and maybe Potette would work for your daughter as well. I read many positive reviews on it.
