My son is 18 months old and has a slight case of torticollis. He lifts his left should up and tilts his head to the left. We have done physical therapy with little improvement. They say because it is a slight case, that physical therapy is no longer helpful! We are now trying Cranial Sacral work. Has anyone else tried this?? I am running out of options. Any suggestions or advice would so be appreciated!!

I have tried Cranial-Sacral work and loved, loved it. It has helped me tremendously when nothing else could. It did take a while so be patient.

My son had neck issues, due to his cramped position , during pregnancy.. He went to a chiropractor for a few months & it is now resolved. If you decide to seek chiropractic care, I would consult with a few. Make sure they are experienced in Peds patients and that you are comfortable and understand there plan of care. Our chiropractor wouldn't adjust infants / young toddlers, used massage and pressure , instead. I felt the most comfortable with that.

I think that should be helpful. Also, see a chiropractor who specializes in adjusting children. Will make a world of difference. PT should help but how often are you doing the excercises at home with him when he's not in PT?

Our son had the same issue. We also did months of physical therapy and he wore a special collar. Over time he just got stronger and the issue completely resolved...by 2yo I believe. He is now 4 and a half. Good luck!

A chiropractor would be most helpful. As others have said, s/he should be a family chiropractor vs. specializing in adult injuries. And the only way they adjust infants/toddlers is with gentle pressure and massage because that's all they need to do to get them into alignment. You should notice progress right away!
