I would have to agree with Cheryl O. You probably should get tested for allergies. I would also try the neti-rinse. I use it twice a day for my allergies. It certainly helps with sore throat/post nasal drip. I also can tell you that this winter has been the worst as far as contracting respiratory infections, as well as bacterial. It might be that you need a stronger antibiotic to counterattack the strep. I wouldn't jump on getting your tonsils removed. If you were getting strep every 6 months or other throat/respiratory infections for then three times a year for years, then perhaps you might look into it. Working at schools, you tend to catch a lot more of the viral / bacterial infections. I would look into other ways to build up immunities.
