I experienced it in my pregnancy too and was told that it may be morning sickness and was told to try and eat first thing in the morning. Have you tried that?
I am 32 weeks pregnant. Almost every morning after I eat my breakfast I start to feel dizzy, short of breath, and tired. I'm not nauseous or anything like that but I am wondering if this is a form of morning sickness or something different. I am up getting ready for an hour before I eat and I feel fine. As soon as I eat my breakfast which is usually cereal, fruit, and milk I feel like I have to lay down on the couch almost like when you are starting to get sick. It usually lasts for several hours and I will start to feel a llittle better after morning snack. It is so hard to get through the morning, I don't know what to do. Have any of you experienced this in your pregnancy?

You are eating a lot of carbs, so I agree with the blood sugar, and start eating eggs or other protein for breakfast. Get it checked asap and if it happens again, drink some orange or apple juice.
Try eating a little less. It may just be that you have to eat all day long. I did that with my daughter because if I ate more than a few bits an hour, I wouldnt be able to function. I was sick regardless for hte entire 9 months...but that did help a little bit!
Sounds like blood sugar and/or blood pressure issues. I'd talk to your provider. I'd also consider eating something other than cereal, which I don't feel provides much in the way of nutrition. That's just my personal belief, though!
I had raging morning sickness in the first trimester and finally got over that and thought ok, this is cool now!
Then along came the 3rd tri and I got it all over again, just not quite as severe, more like what you are describing now. Try to eat just a few bites before you even get out of bed, something salty. Also, don't eat very much at one time. Eat a bunch of snacks instead of regular meals. And, this was my lifesaver. Citrus. Yes, citrus. Grapefruit juice, lemonade, eat a few bites of a grapefruit or orange. My ob said there is something in the citric acid that will help to neutralize the acid already in your stomach. Just don't overdo it on the ctiric acid as they can lead to even worse heartburn. You don't mention heartburn but a lot of women have that too (like me).
GL and hope this passes soon. Congrats on the soon to be baby!
That sounds like it might be low blood sugar. Cereal, milk, and fruit are FULL of sugar. And your blood sugar is already low after fasting all night. I am assuming you have tested negative for gestational diabetes. Try to eat a different breakfast and see what happens - eggs or toast with peanut butter, or something less "carby." See if that helps. Also, because I also get this, I usually have to eat morning snack and lunch earlier than other people becase this is when my body truly starts getting back to normal after the overnight fast.
I was hospitalized for blood sugar problems during my first pregnancy and was put on a strict diet for the third trimester of my pregnancy. You must eat pure proteins in the form of meat, eggs, fish, cheese, soy beans, nuts, tofu....protein shakes will not cut it. Include protein with every meal and snack. Example: Breakfast - 1-2 eggs, 1 piece whole wheat toast. Snack - cottage cheese and blueberries. Lunch - salad greens with chicken and a pita. Snack - apple and natural peanut butter. Dinner - chicken breast with veggies and potatoes. It will help you immensely and you will feel good for the rest of your pregnancy, and while nursing!
It's possible that there just isn't much room left in there for your lungs, the baby, and a full belly! In which case, you'll feel fine once the baby is born.
If you haven't had your gestational diabetes check yet, be sure to get that checked too.
I did have the same issue with my last pregnancy, but I am 5 feet tall, 45 years old, and the baby was BIG and breach (sp?), so it's hard to tell whether it was the gestational diabetes (which I did have) or just having a new human taking up half my body! : )
I experienced the third trimester morning sickness in my first pregnancy and now in my second pregnancy (I am 35 weeks pregnant). I find that when I get up first thing in the morning, I'll drink half a glass of diluted apple juice (half and half) or diluted gingerale. Once I start to feel a bit more awake, I'll attempt to eat something light in the morning. Breakfast basically becomes an hour long event trying to get something down, but it does help.
I've also found a tea that helps (Earth Mama - Mama's morning tea or tummy tea). I drink it after I've eaten something.
Don't know if that helps you at all, but sometimes a new idea works.
I agree with everyone's responses blood sugar! Carbs... convert to fructose, fruit high in fructose... I would def. go with the protein suggestions and non starchy carbs, more veggies... try a vegan protein shake like Arbonne's chocolate or vanilla protein shakes they're delicious and low on sugar high on protein, prices are reasonable you can receive discounts and they last FOREVER! I had same issues with my other two pregnancies and it was from the beginning I was borderline gestational diabetic and this pregnancy I have been following the fresh start healthy lifestyle guidelines not strictly but it's been very affective, I'm far from even borderline anemic, or gestational diabetic and I've only gained 17.5 lbs... I am 39.3 weeks... and the baby is exactly on target they think he weighs about 8 lbs... lol so much for a smaller baby but hey, all is well. I would also suggest drinking a glass of water as soon as you wake up and try to eat sooner than an hour if you can. I hope you start feeling well soon!
