Unfortunately the age range varies drastically!! My son didn't start teething until he was about 9 months. And was sleeping through the night by about 3 months.

My daughter didn't start teething until around 10 months. She didn't get her teeth in until probably around 10 1/2 or 11 months old. She actually slept 1-2 weeks for 9 hours at 4 weeks old.

My daughter has been sleeping through the nights for awhile now, but she's also 14 months old. I think she actually started sleeping through the whole night at 2 months, but then she kept going through growth spurts so I cannot pinpoint an actual age. If your child goes through a growth spurt add cereal to the bottle.

Both of my kids started teething at about 6 months old and they didn't start really sleeping through the night until about 3 to 4 months old. And when I say sleeping through the night I mean like 5 to 6 hours at a stretch. Then it gradually got longer. It might happen sooner if you are formula feeding but I breastfed both of my kids and I am breastfeeding my 5 week old now! I can't wait until I can get more than two hours of sleep at a time!!

Both my daughters started teething at 15 weeks. They both got both of their front bottom teeth within 3 days. The drool ran like a faucet from 8 weeks on! My oldest started sleeping through the night at 6 weeks. My youngest just started sleeping 8-9 hours consistently a couple of weeks ago at 14 weeks. Enjoy your little one -- the time goes too fast!

A.,
This is such a hard time. I have four children and all teethed at different ages and all slept through the night at different times. One child started teething as early as 8 weeks, the rest were more like 3-4 months. Sleeping through the night came about 12 weeks. Whenever your doc suggests cereal is usually when they can make it a little longer sleeping. I would hope for 6 hours first. I had twins and would pray for just two uninterrupted hours of sleep. It will come, take naps whenever you can. Moms need sleep too. Ask a friend or family member to spend one night a week and get up with the baby so you can get one good night of sleep. As soon as you do this, the baby will sleep through the night. my best to you, cherish this precious time that goes much too quickly. My sons are graduating this year, I don't know where 18 years went.

My daughter (who is now 2) started teething around 6 months old. And she still doesn't sleep 8 - 10 hours a night. I'm pretty happy if I get 6 hours straight through.

My son didn't teeth until he was 10 months old. He got his first tooth at 11 months. He slept 6 hours through the night at 3 weeks old, but I don't remember the 8-10 hour mark as I was totally content with 6 hours! :) (And he's 6 years old now lol)

My two year old got his first tooth when he was 3 months old!!It was horrible because he wasn't old enough to hold teething toys at all. He didn't sleep through the night until he was 8 months old, but when he did start sleeping through the night it was for 12+ hour stretches:) We tried everything we could before that to get him to sleep through the night and nothing worked, and currently my 4 1/2 month old daughter also shows no signs of even being close to sleeping through the night, as she is up 2-4 times a night. I think some babies are just like that!

My son started teething at 6 months and got two right away. another two teeth at 9 months, and now at 12 months started teething again.
He still doesn't sleep through the night... still wakes up anywhere from 1-3 times to nurse.

Let's see...
#1
Started teething at 9 months, started sleeping through the night at 6.5 or 7 months.

#2
Started teething at 3.5 months (ack!!), hasn't yet slept consistently through the night. I guess I can say he USUALLY sleeps until 6 then gets up to nurse and goes back down for another hour or so. He's almost 14 months.
