I have a 10 month old boy who is teething. I would like to know the best remedy to ease his pain so he is not so crabby and miserable. I sometimes give him infant tylenol but i know that probably is not the best for him. Any suggestions?

What can I do next?

For my 3-year-old, I used to use semi frozen washclothes for her to chew on to relieve the pain. I also used baby Orajel, but didn't find that it worked as well. I also used conventional teethers, the ones with water in them, either froze or refrigerated them.

Hope this helps.

Good Morning B.! Teething is no fun on anyone at this time, poor little guy-I hope it gets a little better. What husband and I do for our daughter (who is now 19 months) would be children's motrin at night (I was not wanting to dose too often so settled on night time only unless Danielle was miserable). During the day we would let Danielle have an ice cube or two in her mesh food feeder thingy which helped to numb the gums. Popsicles worked too, just had to strip her down to just her diaper to put in her highchair. I tried to get Danielle to take the Hyland's Homeopathic Teething Tablets-other moms have used them successfuly,I just weasled out of trying to get them past Danielle's tightly clamped jaws ;P I hope you get lots of good advice and that your little guy feels better soon! Take Care!

HI B.
I loved the teething tablets with my oldest. You can find them in the baby isle at rite aid. my mom also would keep a wet wash cloth in the freezer for herthat was the best. she didn't like oral gel she would clamp down tight and we could not et her to open up so i used the teething tablets i am gonna go get some cuz my 5 month old is teething now. i found a teething ring for my youngest that i can put in the freezer it was hard to find one but i did and my youngest seems to like that i also find a christmas present that my youngest got before she was born it is a moose that also can go in the fridge or freezer and it says the gell will stay soft in the freezer. the moose is also a rattle with its hands and feet are the teeether with gel in it. good luck with the teething i am going through it too

When my son was teething I used to put wet wash clothes into the freezer for about 15 minutes, then let him chew on them while they were frozen. This helped ease the soreness alot for my little guy.

Tylenol alternated with Baby Ibu is the best for getting through teething when they are particularly painful. We also loved Hyland's Teething Tabs which are all natural.

We use Highland teething tablets. They disolve instantly so there's no risk of choking. Also, cold hard carrots do wonders as well - just make sure he's supervised!

Tylenol and motrin always works. But I also used the teething tablets and they worked wonderful.I did not have to use tylenol very often.Only at night..Also you can wet a washcloth with very cold water.Let him chew on it until it gets warm and re-wet it...That helped alot with my kids..

Orajel works well too. The Tylenol is a good. Also give him something cold to chew on. If you have any of those kool-aid popsicles in the plastic he can chew on them. That will help his gums feel a little better.

I would have 2-3 teething ring in the fridge and would use those. As long as she had something cold to chew on, it would worked for my daughter.

I gave my son all fruit popsicles -- he thought they were a great treat and since they are all fruit (only 10 calories) I didn't feel too bad about it. They numbed his mouth and relieved the pain for a while. Also, keeping them busy helps. My son was the worst at night or when we were actively involved in something.

Use Baby Orajel on the gums. Just put some on your (clean) finger and rub it on his gums. Also, a teething ring in the fridge (not freezer) can give some relief.
