Teeth Whitner - Arlington,TX

I cannot afford my dentist to whiten my teeth. I know there are many teeth whitening products out there. Is there one that you feel worked really well? Did the product really make your teeth white? Which brand is the best? Does it take more than 2 weeks to really notice a difference? I am trying to prevent buying $30 to $40 products and waisting money on those that do not work.
Thanks

I have a friend with beautiful white teeth, and she is a huge coffee drinker, so I asked her one day how her teeth were so white and she swore that she rinsed with straight Hydrogen peroxide every day... I tried it ad it taste terrible so I mix it with a little Listerine whitening formula just to give it minty flavor, and it worked great... with in three days I noticed a big difference, but WARNING DO NOT SWALLOW IT! that would not be good for you, but it worked great, I'd rince for a minute then brush.

Crest white strips work well and last for a full year. We do them yearly and have pearly whites! Actually, our dentist said that unless you are willing to cut-out all "staining" foods and drinks, the professional procedure isn't worth it.

Too funny. I was thinking about teeth whiteners lately as well. I recommend going on Amazon for the Crest Whitening Strips. You can get them for less than $30 and even with shipping, still comes out to less than $40.

I like either the CVS brand 5 minute tray, OR, the crest express whitening system... that will cost you a bit more, but you can almost always find $15 off coupons on their website. THOSE I really love!! You use it for 40 or 60 minutes, 4x a year... that's a long time to be drooling with strips in your mouth, but they WORK!!

Before I learned to splurge on those, I did love the CVS 5 minute tray :) That you can use daily and the $10 tube lasts FOREVER!

All I know is, I see the Crest brand at my local CVS store.
I saw a woman once, buying the CVS generic version of the Crest brand whitening strips. So I ASKED her, if it was good? She said yes... that it is just as good as the Crest brand, but cheaper.
And her teeth, were nice and white.
She showed me.

I'm currently using Crest Professional Whitestrips and am half way through the process, 30 min. for 20 days, and I'm noticing that my teeth are whiter. They were about 43.00 at Walmart on sale last week.

My dentist does this for FREE. They made trays on my first visit and provide 2 tubes at each 6 month visit.

I go to Saddlebrook in White Settelment.

The Crest Whitestrips work great. I got a box of 100 from Amazon for $20.00 earlier this summer. (I'd done the trays from the dentist and that is ickier than the strips.)

Two weeks BEFORE using the strips you need to brush with SENSITIVE toothpaste and you won't have any problems.

The trick to the strips is use them BEFORE you brush. Seems weird but that's what they say. I cut mine in HALF and use them just on the top and get a LOT more treatments that way. I've been using them for a long time and whenever I feel I'm looking older I do the teeth and it's like an instant facelift (to an extent!)

I have used the Crest White Strips more than once.
They do work. They make my teeth very very sensitive while using them though. After the week is up, my teeth go back to feeling normal.

Thanks for asking this! I have been wondering the same thing and didn't even think to ask here! One of my meds darkens my teeth and I feel it is really aging my appearance, so I will be anxious to read the responses too!

I have been using the Crest white strips (with their advancing technology) since way before they were OTC. I'm kinda a white teeth nut! I do it a minimum of twice per year, usually after my cleanings at the dentist. I tried the CVS brand once to save money but they didn't stick as well. I went to a "Bright Smile" one hour whitening and they said they couldn't make my teeth any whiter.
