I have a friend who sent her second grader there and was very happy. It is very expensive though and I personally wonder, unless your child has learning issues, if this is money well spent on a preschooler. If you feel your child may have developmental or learning issues, I would suggest contacting either your school district or ped to see what services are available. Many school districts offer services (many for free) or if your ped feels OT or some other therapy is needed, then your ins may cover this. I think Sylvan was a really good choice for my friend's child, but she was significantly older. Preschoolers really don't need all the drills and "academics". They just need the opportunities to explore, etc. Good luck!

why are you thinking about this.. is he or she having a problem? if so you can find good pre-schools usually in the public schools that help with problems. otherwise if you just want him or her to be ahead.. don't push to hard.. let him or her be little for a little while.. kids all learn at different times.. my kids were reading at 4 because they just found out that they could sound out works.. and then they could read.. some kids read at 1st grade.. Is their issues you want help with?? Sylvan should be used when you want to help your 2nd grader grasp math better or your 4th grader needs help with verbs and nouns...

why? if he's only in preschool? sylvan is very expensive, and if your son ends up having learning disabilities, you'd want to go through the public school system to get the services for free. they're just as good. if you're just wanting to prep him for kindergarten, there is so much you could teach him at home.
i have known families who have send their kids to sylvan, most of them liked it, most of them would stop using it due to high cost.

I teach second grade and also tutor on the side. Is there a reason you want to enroll your pre-schooler? Is she struggling in school? This seems awfully young. PM me if you want more info.
