You probably need to make sure whether or not the vest needs to be Coast Guard approved to be worn in the pools on deck...it probably does. I'm sure the ship's website would have something on it about that and if not, err on the side of caution. A lot of those newer neoprene styles are not CGA and she will not be allowed to wear it if it is against policy! Just an FYI

My son has a Stearns Puddle Jumpers Life Jacket which is USCG approved and it's great. Got it at Walmart for $15 plus tax.

Not a brand, but you need to be sure you get the kind that will flip her over if she goes in the water. Some will float her, but if she goes face in she would not be able to turn over. There are Coast Guard recommended stages or levels of vests. If you google it, I am sure you will find info on that aspect. I ordered mine online, but I don't know where.

We used aqua joggers, just like the local YMCA. They are great!

We don't use a vest, but my son uses a Puddle Jumper (Stearns) that he and I LOVE. It allows for full movement, and he can float in it nicely, but it still lets him "swim" and test out the water safely. He also loves the "guy" on it!
