Target has bathing suits where the bottoms are reusable diapers. They are inexpensive and work well. Right there in the infant section.
I have enrolled my 2 year old in swim lessons, so would like to know what the best swim diaper is. Are the reusable ones any good? Any info. would be great! Thanks!!

We used the Huggies swim diapers and they seemed to work fine. Also one year we bought the re-usable kind at Target (you know the ones that have little ruffly bottoms with a little bikini top and matching hat? so cute! Although I notice you have a boy, so I guess you wouldn't need the ruffly stuff!). Both types seemed to work as intended.
I know that some places will actually issue you a re-usable swim diaper when you enroll for lessons, or they have their "preferred" type available for sale at the front desk. It might be worth asking before you invest in anything on your own.
Double check with the location.
Our pool requires "TRIPLE UP!", which is a swim diaper, a diaper cover, and a swim suit for all that are not potty trained.

Hi S.,
I have a friend that teaches Infant Swimming and she recommends the bathing suits that have the cotton diaper. The disposable ones just fill up and leak. Check with your instructor to see if she/he has a preference.
Best Wishes,
A.
Swim diapers are designed to hold solid waste, not urine. We use iPlay brand ones that I got at swimoutlet.com, but the Target ones are pretty much the same thing. Just make sure the leg and waist are snug so that nothing leaks out!
It is a special diaper (not the little swimmers you buy at the store, it goes on top on the little swimmers). You can probably get one at the swmin place or at babies r us!!
