Just looking for some cute/easy/fun ideas for a 3 year old's superhero party... My son will be 3 in March and this is the theme. The party will be at the house - family and friends. 80% of the friends are girls... hmmmm. Thanks in advance for any and all of your great ideas!

First of all let me say, I'm jealous! All we've been getting for the past 3 years (she's almost 5 now) are princesses and fairies.

Some ideas - I don't know if you can find them this time of year but you can get those little half masks and do some kind of craft where kids can put stickers on them and color them (glue and paint if you're feeling adventurous).

Or you can get some books and have the kids make superhero paper bag puppets then (if their attention span lasts) you can have them put on a puppet show. I guess it depends on the age group, if they're all on the younger side crafts might be hard.

You a have super hero dance party. Where you play music and get the kids to "fly around".

You could "try" to have a "pin the mask on Superman" game, even if you did it w/o blindfolds, kids might like it.

That's all I've got, we're going through this right now for the 5 year old party...but it's Tinkerbell LOL.

Ok - I don't know if you sew or know someone that does but we made all diffeernt color capes for each child with velcro around the necks. The kids loved them and they all got to bring them home after! I saved coupons for the local fabric store and was able to make the cape without a huge expense and it was a great party favor! Better then a goodie bag!

Lindsay had good ideas! You can get those masks from Oriental Trading Co, especially now that it's Mardi Gras time. I was also thinking making some capes. You could buy some cheap fabric and pre-cut a cape shape or you could even use grocery sacks. I would pre-cut those too but you could use yarn to tie it on. I would probably do just a two or three crafts/games. At 3 mostly they just want to play! I also like the idea of doing a "real" superhero who comes to the party for an hour or so...that would be really fun! Maybe you could do some races outside to see how fast everyone can 'fly' or maybe do a strength thing and get those blocks that look like bricks and you can see who can stack them the highest in 1 minute or something. I think you can take any game and make it
superhero-y. You could even do duck duck goose and make it like the superhero and the villain or something. Have fun!

Pillow cases make an inexpensive EASY super hero cape for those of us who are not especially great with sewing ; ) You can buy fabric paint or stampers, glitter glue, markers...sew on pretty color ribbons so they can be tied on or felt with velcro...sounds fun, also you can buy bulk masks and decorate them, 3 year olds need help but love hands on projects...ideas for masks...feathers, sequins...have fun!

Cool, why don't you call those guys/actors who perform as heros with costumes etc..real life heroes will excite him soo much and they can say "happy birthday" to him, even do a short game involving him...it'll be unforgettable...have fun!!
