I am so over calling this baby "it." With our other two kids we found out the sex, so we could refer to them as "he" or "she." With this one we did not find out and it makes it difficult to talk about the baby. We have been calling it "the baby" or "it," exciting I know. I know sometimes the baby gets called peanut or something like that, but we have a cat named Peanut. Then there is my husband who wants to call it Larry or something goofy like that just to be funny. My mind is drawing a blank, I can't come up with one single "name."
When I was pregnant with my son, we called him 'baby babaganoush' :)
When my mom was pregnant with me, I was 'Klondike'. Yeah, I don't know either, but I got a really cool shirt out of it that says 'Call me Klondike' that all 3 of my kids have worn ;)

My friend refers to her little one as whatever food it is compared to in developmental sites. When baby is the size of a raisin, then it is a little raisin, a grapefruit, a zucchini etc.

Bean. Jelly bean, lima bean, jumping bean (for when it's being sweet, grumpy, moving a lot).
Right now, it's "baking bean." After, he/she'll be "baked bean!"
LOL!

We let our almost two year old "name" the baby. We asked her what the baby should be named and she chose Bubbles. So for my entire pregnancy (even after we found out it was a girl) she was Bubbles.
Funniest thing is that since birth (she is 7 months now) she has constantly been bubbling out of her mouth. She loves blowing raspberries and just bubbling like crazy. :)

We affectionately called ours "Cletus"...(cletus the fetus)...which also got horrified looks from MIL when she heard it - she thought that was the real name we picked!! :-)
One of our friends called theirs "Beanie Baby" because they had an early ultrasound and they said it looked like a Bean, which turned to "beanie" which turned to "beanie baby" which turned to "beanie baby B---" (their last name starts with a B.
I think a nickname simply just happens. Don't stress over it...
What about "bun" ("bun in the oven" saying). Or "heshee" (he/she) or "shehee" (she/he). Make it simple... :-) it might just stick after baby is born...especially with two little ones who keep hearing it! :-)

My husband called our 3rd kid "glob" to poke fun at the idea that a baby in the womb could be considered by some to be just a glob of tissue until some indeterminate point in time.

We called all the babies the same thing while inside and that was Pookie Pie. We had to stop that when my sister and one of her daughters were pregnant at the same time. Then we called my sister's baby Pookie Pie and my neices baby Hey You. I still call my little neice Hey You. She repeats everything and it is so cute hearing her greet me with a loud and enthusiastic, "HEY YOU!!!!". It's too cute.

Parasite; noun
an organism that lives on or in an organism of another species, known as the host, from the body of which it obtains nutriment.
Based on the definition that is kinda what babies are haha

When I was pregnant with my son we refered to him as alien baby. This came about after our first ultrasound in which the shape of his head was very rounded on top and came to a very distinct point at the chin, seriously looked like an alien you would see in a movie. Thank God he filled out.

We called our son our little "bean". Our friends who have a wicked sense of humor called their bump "fetie" - short for fetus. haha.

Let your older kids come up with a nickname. When I was pregnant with my second, we asked my son (2 years old at the time) what he wanted to call the baby in my belly. We didn't know what we were having either and hated calling the baby "it". He called her "Vanilla". We don't know why he picked it, but it worked for us.

This might be a little TMI for some people and interesting to explain, but is there anything significant related to the time or location near possible conception? We went to a professional football game near the time of conception of our firstborn so my husband always referred to the baby by the name of one of his favorite players on the team.

My friend, whose last name is Roberts, referred to her baby(s) as URB (Unidentified Roberts Baby). I thought it was hysterical and so much better than "it" or "the baby." Assuming your screen name is accurate, this could work for you :D
