I was wondering if any other moms out there have experienced a Subchorinoic Hemorrhage during pregnancy and if so what was your experience like and the outcome. I was rushed to the emergency room when i all of a sudden started feeling a lot of pain in my lower abdomen and with that came a lot of bleeding. When doing an ultrasound they saw the baby was ok and growing just fine and during the week the bleeding slowed down to almost nothing and than last night pain and a lot more bleeding this time. I called the dt. he said it is normal and just to relax and put my feet up. Please if anyone has experienced this tell me your story. I just need some peace of mind. Thank You..

What can I do next?

Hi there M....
I didnt know there was a term for it... but I had the same such experiance when I was pregnant. When I was around 4.5 months prego I woke up in the middle of the night with minor cramping and when I went to get out of bed..gush blood everywhere. I was flipping out and was loosing my mind for the half hour drive to the hospital from our house. They did the same as with you. They gave me an ultrasound and there she was kicking and waving at us, heart beating like a champ. I was put on bed rest for two days and told to TAKE IT EASY from then on. I didnt have a major bleeding episode again but I did spot a time or two after and had a little cramping every so often. Apparently it happens to a lot of women cause when I shared my story with other women they shared in the same thing at least once or twice. I think what it boiled down to with myself and most of the other women I talk3ed to said that we just over did it and needed to relax a bit more. Take your doctors advice what ever you do and if by any means it worries you, drop everything and go to the doctor. It is your body and your baby you know if something is not right and how many of us didnt make a few unnecessary trips to the doctors office. Thats what we pay them for. So take it easy, and relax, if you are worried go get yourself some peace of mind and go visit that doctor of yours. Good luck to you in the rest of your pregnancy.

p.s. when I gave birth and they examined the placenta, they showed me a dark spot on the placenta where they say.. is where my major bleeding episode originated from.

I had one with my first daughter. After experiencing three previous losses, I was justifiably terrified. However, the hemmorage resolved itself within a few weeks. I know it's easier said than done, but try not to stress out.

Hi M.!
Congratulations on your pregnancy! I will repeat what the other mothers and your doctor has already expressed in that each pregnancy is different and that this kind of thing can be overcome with a little extra rest. I was 41 before I gave birth to my first child and had 2 miscarriages prior. What happened for me was the same regarding the cramping and I passed a pretty big clot that could've been the baby. I hadn't known I was pregnant and was driving 150 miles and moving. My specialist perinatologist tricked me into coming back and not leaving right away after showing me three other clots that appeared on the ultrasound. I returned four days later after putting all else aside completely and the remaining clots had shrunk. Needless to say, we got help with the moving and I just continued onto a normal pregnancy with a full term 7-1/2 pounder. I was merely weeks pregnant when I got that inital scare but after the immediate rest, I carried on as usual with climbing stairs and lifting whatever I normally could. I just remember it was the little change of pace with the move we were doing and an slight extra strain to get things done. My husband jokes in saying that the baby was just telling us she's here and wants to be a part of everything. He later confessed he hid his anxiety with the scare but bless him for taking the edge off :)
Anyway, I'm writing a blog here so I'll end by saying to be good to yourself and it'll go a long way; every little bit you do with the baby in mind, baby will thank you for!!

I had something like this early in my 2nd pregnancy. Just like you the baby was fine on u/s but the bleeding source was close to her and I was put on bedrest. The bad news is that I was on rest from 6-11 weeks pregnant becasue the problem recurred. The good news was once the baby got hearty and big enough to outsize the bleed and not be serously threatened by the cramping (as in as my uterus tried to expell the blood it wouldn't shove her out too), the rest of my pregnancy was routine. It was scary for a while but I took the bedrest very serously and left the rest up to a greater power. She was almost 8 lbs. 3 days early and it was a normal delivery.
