If you are really serious about starting the South Beach Diet, my advice to you, is to invest in the South Beach Diet Book. It doesn't cost that much and it is a tremedous help with planning meals, what to eat, when to eat it and it has several very good recipes in it.
My husband and I both started the diet at the same time, last October. I lost 20 pounds in three months, by Christmas I was a very happy camper! My wieght was down, I was looking good in two(2) dress sizes smaller and better yet, I was feeling good because I had been eating right for a change.
If you exercise along with the diet, that's good. I didn't exercise at all and I still lost 20 pounds. I'm 52 years old and by the time I get home from work, I'm much too tired to jump up and down, roll around or stretch my body. I just want to rest. As I stated before, if you are active in exercising, that's good, you will defintely loose faster.
The bottom line is, make the investment in the book, keep it readily available at your fingertips and enjoy the ride to a slimmer and healthier you.
