This is SUPER easy and ALWAYS a hit!
Decadent Brie en Croute
Non-stick vegetable or olive oil spray
1 very cold small Brie cheese (8-10 oz)
1 tube of crescent rolls
1 T. Liqueur (I use Amaretto)
2 T. brown sugar
½ c. chopped pecans
*The brown sugar, pecans, and liqueur will be used on the inside and outside. Use the same amount each time, so in total, you will use twice what is listed above.
For best results, put Brie in freezer for about 1 hour. Preheat oven to 350. Spray baking sheet with nonstick spray.
Cut top layer of rind off cheese. Pierce cheese with knife (to allow liqueur to soak in). On baking sheet, make a sunkist with the triangles of the crescent rolls, the points facing out. Place cheese in center of Sunkist. Pour brown sugar, pecans, and liqueuer on cheese. Wrap crescent rolls around cheese, sealing cheese inside, forming a peak at the top. Top with brown sugar, pecans, and liqueur. Bake in 350 oven for 28-33 minutes. If nuts start to get too brown, cover loosely with foil. Allow to rest 10 minutes prior to serving.
Serve warm with crackers, apples, or grapes.
