My dear 2 year old threw up all over our microfiber fabric recliner, and I can't seem to get the awful smell out. I've cleaned it with Dawn soap and febreeze and nothing has worked. Any suggestions for getting the smell out??

What can I do next?

My friend used water three times and febreeze and got the smell out. Have you thought about white vinegar? The chair may smell like a salad for awhile, but I think the smell dissipates.

There's a product calls Kids and Pets that I have used successfully to get out all kinds of nasty smells. You can get it at Walmart, by the carpet cleaners. It has a yellow and blue label. I use it in combination with my "Little Green Machine" which is essentially a small wet vac.

Kids and Pets completely took out a combination of soured milk and fermented watermelon that leaked from a lunchbox that sat on the carpet for a week while we were on vacation. I've also used it on vomit.

Good luck!

Try baking soda in water on the area. Let it dry and vacuum. In my day many momma used baking soda to get rid of the spit smell from babies on their clothes. Good luck otherwise get a professional to clean the chair. The other S.
