I may be way off, here, but I had the same thing for a long while (small cut that wouldn't heal on my big toe) and once it healed, I realized it was a plantar's wart.
My daughter has what looks like a cut or abrasion under one of her toes. This has been there for quite a while and does not seem to be healing. She hates to have her feet poked at - trimming toenails is a battle, and looking at a sore toe is even worse. I'm wondering if anyone has suggestions for how to treat this.
I will not use Neosporin because of allergies. Any other suggestions would be welcomed.

Is this under a toenail or on the toe? Wounds that will not heal should be looked at by a doctor as it could be an infection or a more serious problem.
I suggest soaking the toe in water with epsom salt a couple times a day.
A good alternative to neosporin or antibacterial ointment is lanolin...the stuff you may have used for sore nipples while nursing (the name brand I have is Lansinol). It has really wonderful natural healing properties. You might want to check with a doctor tho if it does not heal b.c it could be a fungus of some kind...rare on small children but it's possible.

Ask the doctor what to soak it in and then have daily "spa treatments" with your daughter. You could paint her nails and do her hair while the foot soaks :)
Try having her soak her foot in a peroxide/water solution.
If you aren't sure whether it is a cut or athlete's foot or dry, cracking skin, then the catch all solution is to treat it with some lavender essential oil (my son's favorite) or tea tree oil. I buy mine from Daisy Blue Naturals (I know there are some consultants listed on Mamasource) as it is at the right strength to use directly on the skin. My son loves it for all types of wounds and I am astonished at the speed of healing when we use it. It has anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties. I either put it on directly and then put on a sock in her case or put some drops on a bandaid and put it on the wound. Even if it doesn't stay on the kid for long it works.
My daughter used to get these all the time, her doctor said it was a symptom of her eczema. We got a special cream and it cleared right up. We have to use it periodically but it's not big deal. Good luck

The first thing I thought was that it's possibly athlete's foot. Yep...even youngsters can get it. Lotrimin (Clotrimazole) cream should do the trick, but if I recall, you have to do it consistently for several days. Since your dtr has allergies, it is always best to check with your doc.
Other moms have given GREAT advice on how to coax her into letting you tend to her tootsies!
Best,

Are you sure it isn't athletes foot? Try an OTC fungus cream or spray.
My daughter's skin gets cracked under her toes so I put A&D ointment on the underside of her toes and then put cotton socks on. I do this before her naps and before bedtime and it works really well. A&D will help any kind of chapped/cracked skin.
my son had a sore like that between his fingers. The dr. sad it was eczema and hydorcortizone cleared it right up.
Have you tried the diaper rash stuff A&D - the one in the gold box. I have put that on little cuts on my body and it heals....you may smell a little funny but it clears up really quick, but due to allergies not sure if that will work.
I have a problem with the toes touching too, and I found that if I paint my toe nails my daughter wants hers done too, but I do it when she gets into the the tub so she can't smear nail polish all over the place -- maybe if you could get her to have her toes pretty she would be more up to having her toes touched.
I totally agree with the tea tree oil! It's an anti-infection essential oil.
I used tiny marshmallows or mini chocolate chips to bribe my kids into getting their nails cut. One for each fingernail or toe nail that they let me trim!
I would try the famous this little piggy went to the market while clipping little nails, also looking for injuries and it works fantastic when bathing.
for a sore not healing I would definately contact your doctor because of infectious reasons,at home you could try peroxide and keep the sore dry and clean.

Try bacitracin or vaseline.
My husband has had cracked feet issues lately and the thing that has worked best for him is vaseline with a bandage or sock over it. It has really healed up nicely.
Try soaking it in Epsom Salts ... you can get it at Walgreens and even add it to her bath.
