I'm not sure about my 5 month old baby sleeping patterns. At night he sleeps between 4 to 5 hours in a row..only one feeding at night... so no complaints about it!! but during the day he is awake 2 hours and then takes a nap that can go from 30 min to 2 hours.... Is that OK?? IIs it possible that he gets bored?.... BTW he is teething... so sometimes he is very fussy. Orajel and teething rings are not helping.... Thanks!

What can I do next?

Babies sleep patterns are all so different, & they are all OK :)

Plus, as soon as you get used to it & into a schedule... it'll change :) sounds like I am being sarcastic & I am not. Their schedules change w/ each new stage... as long as your LO is growing & reaching developmental stages and YOU are getting some sleep too (for sanity) then just enjoy the quiet time!

His sleeping sounds totally fine...& pretty good considering only 1 feeding at night. I wouldn't change anything. I don't have advice on the teething front...I think we just need to be patient on that one. There are homeopathic teething drops that may help...and since they are organic, no worries about getting too much meds.

For his teething give him a cold wash cloth to chew on. It worked better than anything else I tried. I got that idea from my Mom. Just wet two or three of them and stick them in the refrigerator. When he needs one pull it out. I used the baby washcloths and kept about four of them in a baggie ready for use. As far as his sleeping goes every baby is different. As long as he is healthy don't worry about it. Try reading to him and playing with him more during the day. I read to my girls at least three times a day every day. They are both very, very smart and have graduated from college with double majors...
