I haven't had one, but my sister did and my niece always walked, too, so it was pointless to buy it.
I would suggest just getting a single stroller for the baby, and a nice wagon for walks around the neighborhood. They will love a wagon for years anyway, and you can bring it to parks and parades and the zoo. We have the Radio Flyer wagon that has wood sides and it fits well in my trunk. We use it all summer. It's really handy for picnics also.
Also, if you go to any amusement park or children's museum or the zoo, almost all of them have strollers available for free or to rent [most places I've seen are at the most $5 to rent].
