Sippy Cup - Milford,OH

So my son loves drinking out of a straw...really it's the only thing he'll drink from right now! I am so frustrated with the sippy cups that have straws. They leak everywhere, squirt out the top and just make a complete mess. Does anyone have any good ones they love with minimal leakage and squirting.

What can I do next?

Playtex makes a great straw cup. The straw is covered by a sliding lid that keeps it from leaking or squirting out! They come as a 2-pack and ours have trucks on them.

In fact, we are missing one so I'll probably pick up another pack this weekend!

I had a great one for my older daughter...I'm thinking it was playtex. The straw has a built in valve, and a sliding cover that slides over and bends the straw done to cover it. I can say I don't think this cup ever leaked. I'm going through the same thing right now with my 11 mo old...she loves to drink from straws, and all the straw cups she has leak. I need to go back and get her one like my older daughter had!

A few Mommies have already mentioned it so I thought I would pitch the Playtex cups with straws as well. The ones that have the lid that slides over the straw. My DD would find a way to make any cup leak by pressing the nipple or mouth piece of the cups onto the floor or table, any hard surface really untill a bunch of liquid would leak out everywhere but these playtex style cups with the straws are awesome. Like the other ladies said, they are controlled by a valve so they have to suck on the straw to get the liquid out and I have yet to have a spill. I love them
Good Luck

My son just learned to drink from a straw, but he bites the tips off any soft sippy cup. I found cups, I think made by playtex, which makes them drink almost as if they were drinking from a real cup. Figured it was good practice, bought them, he loves them! They don't leak at all. I never would have bought them if I hadn't been so desperate... I literally bought every sippy ever made.

This may sound crazy, but, after years of daycare and having sippy cups by the dozens, my favorite cup for kids now is the one you get at Dutch Bros when you buy a kids size smoothie! I am not a coffee drinker, and have never had a smoothie myself. (I drink only water) but my grand daughter has been to Dutch Bros with her mommy and those cups are terrific! The top stays on, and they run thru the dishwasher well. I can fit a regular straw in the hole snug enough it is hard for her to pull out and I swear they don't leak at all. I hate those cups with built in straws. You tell me, how clean is that after one use when you can't get anything into the whole length of the straw to clean it? I like that I can toss the straw and use a clean new one everytime. And if the cups get broken or lost, you just go spend $2 and get another smoothie and you keep the cup! Try it!

My son's sippy cup has a straw, and it has NEVER leaked. I love this brand of cups, and have used them exclusively since he started on a cup (first w/ the spout, and then w/ a straw). The brand is Tommee Tippee. I'm not sure where it's sold in your area, but in MD it's only sold in Babies 'R Us and Toys 'R Us. I'm pretty sure if you google them, you can find their website.
