Sinus Infection - Murrieta,CA

Has anyone ever had pain in their cheek, like lower cheek, up above the top teeth with a sinus infection? It hurts when I press on it, on one side, kind of up under the actual cheek bone. It even hurts when I chew in the same place. I have a sinus infection that has taken a turn for the worse (ie thick green snot) in the last day and in addition to my eye/forehead area hurting I have this cheek pain. It is like off to the side, on my cheek, like if you drew a line from the outer corner of my eye down to the bottom of the cheek bone. Thanks!

ETA I am free of cavities so this isn't an abcessed tooth. Also the pain is not in the tooth, it hurts in the cheek when I chew, not in the tooth. Thanks again :)

What can I do next?

I had those exact same symptoms a few weeks back (and I posted about it too). Yes, it was a sinus infection (coupled with an ear infection, actually). He gave me antibiotics and a prescription nose spray for allergies and told me to take zyrtec every day. It's completely gone now!

Good luck!

Yes-you can wait until it looks like brown, bloody bread dough-but I wouldn't advise it. Go to the doctor-you're entitled to take care of yourself-seriously-you're the number one caregiver! People depend on you!

Hi Robyn,

The green snot is an infection. It will spread and can go past the sinuses...Don't play with your head :)

We don't do pharmaceuticals. We prefer colloidal silver for an infection. (Most people don't know that it's what we used long before pharmaceutical companies and doctors used to prescribe it. The right silver has absolutely no side effects...like yeast infections and weakened immune system.) We have cleared up my 92 year old Dad's pneumonia 4 out of 5 times with it. He's bedridden and on a feeding tube and tends to aspirate fluid so infections are common.

You can put it in a nebulizer or take it orally. A normal sized person needs about a teaspoon three times a day for 5 days. If you do decide to go this route ask the person at the health store the dosage. They are trained to know.

Hope youre feeling better soon!

I haven't had it myself, but yes a sinus infection can make you think you need to see the dentist.

You need to see a Doctor.
If it is a bad sinus infection, you need Antibiotics.
Your mouth/teeth now seem to be getting affected.
Unless you have an abscessed tooth or something.
Regardless, you need to see a Doctor.

Green snot, is not good.
The pain/infection is radiating.

absolutely.
I have had my teeth hurt when I had a sinus infection.
You need to go get an antibiotic.
It will likely be amoxicillian and will only cost $4 or so .

Cheek pain is common with sinus infections. Does it also feel like your head is going to explode when you bend over?
Saline spray and an antibiotic right away! This is an infection and it's in hour head, near the brain--nothing to fool with. Feel better soon!
