My 16 month old cant take a bath without turnin the knobs to the hot and cold water on. I am right there while he takes his bath, i tell him thats ouch and dont touch but you can tell him no and turn him around and it becomes a game and he just laughs and tries even more to get back at them, Does anyone on have any clue as to any saftey stoppers i can put on them. I keep the door to the bathroom closed all the time.
Wal-Mart, Target, as well as most hardware stores sell covers that you can put over water knobs making them very difficult to turn. You could also get a door knob cover to the bathroom door so that your baby cannot get in there when he/she is old enough to reach and turn the knob. In fact, there is usually an entire section devoted in these stores to child proofing stuff.

My daugther did the SAME THING! It was so annoying! I just got her some bath toys. Go to Target, get those little bath scribblers that write on the bathroom wall. Or get a bath toy that's can stick to the wall, that'll get them to stop.
Just remember to say its owies er something. and let them know.
When we lived in military housing in the late 80's, our shower had a faucet on it that had a small button that had to be pressed to get the faucet to rotate to the hot water side. It was there for children's safety. I am sure someone still makes those.
If you are with your 16 month old while he's taking a bath you will stop him from turning them. Teaching him to not touch dangerous things is important. You can also face him away from the knobs so that he's not as tempted. It's not safe to leave him alone in the tub even for a minute.
You keep the door closed. If he opens it to play with the water knobs you can put a safety device on the door so he can't open it or you can put a hook and eye on the door and jamb.
