Yes, call your Dr's office and speak with a nurse. They can probably get you in today.
I'm 21 weeks pregnant and I've been throwing up since last night. I feel very weak and it hurts for me to walk or even stand. I've had headaches and back pain even before pregnancy but it's severly worse since then. I've taken OB approved pain relievers but they don't help and I know the trouble walking has nothing to do with labor. Any suggestions?
Thank ladies for all your help. I went to the ER today and I was dehydrated so they putme on an IV and after that perscribed me with two meds to take for the next week. Also I'm o the BRAT diet now as well (how fun). Felling a little better now though. Thanks again!!!

Yes, you should go see what's wrong. At the very least, call your OB. Why not err on the side of safety?
Definately go see your doctor.
On a side note, even OB approved pain relievers should be used sparingly (I used to work with a girl that took way too much Tylenol when pregnant...yes it was approved but she was exceeding the recommended doses on a regular basis...assumed it was safe but it wasn't in that dosage).
It sounds like you are dehydrated.
I would call you OB. If you can't get in today, go to the Labor and Delivery or ER at the hospital (not sure if you're past the point in pregnancy where ER won't help) and ask them to help you.
Its possible that you just have food poisoning or the flu.
If your still throwing up get to the ER or doctor right away....it is not good for you or the baby....The pain relievers could be causing you to vomit...or there could be something else wrong...don't take any chances...
Please call your doc ASAP! I am also in my 2nd trimester and have been told those are dangerous symptoms.
I had nausea and vomiting and was given Zofran, but I never took painkillers. If you're throwing up due to nausea and not from the painkillers, you may want to ask your doctor for Zofran, which can help alleviate the nausea when ginger ale and crackers don't help, but if it's due to the painkillers, then maybe they are too strong for you and something milder like Ibuprofen would be better.
How is your blood pressure? You should not be getting headaches. This is a sign of preeclemsia or eclampsia.
Are you predisposed to migranes?
Have you consulted your doctor? They always had me come in with any concerns. They took such wonderful care of me and my baby to be.
Not sure who your doc is; but it's better to be safe. You should be feeling better about now; however, I was sick all through my pregnancy and I felt like I had vertigo. I constantly threw up; it wasn't almost until I was done with my pregnancy that I started to feel better; but then the last trimester is tough because it's so tiring.
I hope that this helps.
1) asap go to your ob
2) find a midwife
3) get a Webster Chiropractor and get examined there as well
best, k
