Shiseido Product Opinions

Hi everyone,
I was recently recommended to try Shiseido facial cleanser and moisturizer. I have oily acne prone large pore skin with some acne scarring. I am in mid 40's. I have not bought it yet because I want to run out of my current face products. I am now using My Chelle which is an organic line. I cannot say I am overly thrilled with it. Any opinion? I had a sample of the Shiseido and it does clean the face very well.

So What Happened?

Hi everyone,
Thanks so much for all your input. I think I might get the Shiseido cleanser. Awesome. I also might try Mary Kay line and Enfuselle Shaklee line. Possible Beauti Control or Arbonne. I am not sure yet. Thanks so much! Blessings!!

Hi L.,

Have you ever thought about switching to Mary Kay's Classic Basic Blemish Control skin system? If you are interested, I am a Consultant. I use the Blemish control line, and I love it. Mary Kay uses a combination of botanicals & synthetic ingredients.

If you would like more information, please visit my website at www.marykay.com/smcinnis or contact me at ###-###-####.

Cheers!

I have never used Shiseido products but I have gone the dermo route...ended up using Accutane which worked for several years but last year, my acne resurfaced with avengence. I tried antibiotics again to no avail...was about to get serious and head back to the doc again when my mom sent me a link like this:

http://www.peoplespharmacy.com/2009/05/17/laxative-licks/

I can't believe it but Milk of Magnesia has been working so WELL for me! $3.50 a bottle for the generic kind, plus I use my current products (apricot scrub to exfoliate and then Cetaphil daily cleanser) and just before I get out of my morning shower, I pour a handful of MoM, apply it to my face and let it sit about a minute of so. I rinse before I get out of the shower, and poof! A MUCH clearer face! Instead of a constant crop of 10+ blemishes, I've ended up with only ONE during my monthly cycle. So cool!

Other folks use it differently too, they let it dry and keep it on over night. If you're willing to try something new, Milk of Magnesia is sooo cheap and even I can't believe how effective it is.

Hi L.,
You may want to try Shaklee's Enfuselle line. There is a moisturizer for oily skin. The line way outperforms any other anti-aging lines by far and is less expensive than most. Shaklee is very different that other companies. They spend millions on scientific research and don't put out anything that is not proven and they also publish results in scientific journals.
That being said, everyone is different and what works for someone may not for someone else. But with these, you know you will not be doing any harm. The FDA does not really regulate what is in our personal care products. There are websites that will let you check out companies to see if the ingredients in the products are harmful.
If you want to check out Enfuselle or Shaklee, go to http://www.shaklee.net/healthforlife
Good luck to you.

I know nothing of Shiseido products.

However, this is how I have curbed my acne/breakouts. Change out bed linens once a week if not more for pillow cases as well as bathroom towels. Cleanse face with noxema beaded cleanser twice a day, wear minium makeup, be in the sun for ten-fifteen minutes a day if weather is permitted, ditch all carbonated drinks, most surgary products, and drink lots of water, green tea, and eat more fresh fruits, nuts, beans, salads. and get microdermobrasion done. try and get a good nights rest and do not let things stress me out. my face looks a lot better.

good luck.

Hi L.,
I loved Shiseido when I used their products. They're just out of my budget right now. The Pureness line did a great job on my oily skin it controlled the oil very well. I absolutely love their blemish spot treatment, it's the only one that works really well - like within the day and I do still use that when I need to.

Hi L.,
I hope you can find something. I don't know how much are in favor of organic, but I have been looking also and can't find anything organic I like, so I opt to use MaryKay and my skin is soft and clear, I also have issues with acne. I like the MK and the only reason I was looking to organic was because it is natural. But as I have noticed, some "natural" products contain chemicals as well. Hope this helps.

I've never tried the cleanser before, but it is by far the very best night moisturizer I have ever used (I'm almost 39). It's incredibly expensive in my opinion, but worth the money when I can afford it. My skin looks so much better when I'm using it. I miss it when I use something else.

Hello L.,

I don't have any input on the Shiseido facial line but I do have input on Arbonne International's Clear Advantage Acne Line. This line was reformulated in April and has been giving great results. It is very affordable and sold thru Arbonne Independent Consultants. Arbonne products are formulated in Switzerland to be pure (of the finest ingredients, safe (extensive testing) and beneficial (to give you results you can see and feel). Our products are botanically based without animal products or by-products, no mineral oil, dermatologist tested, hypoallergenic, no testing on animals, no dyes or chemical fragrances.
I am a consultant with Arbonne and I would love to help you with an order or come to you and demo the product line. Call or email me with any questions.
Good Luck!

I have never used Shiseido so I do not know about the product. However; I am 48 and look about 34 and I use Enfuselle Nutrtion therapy for the skin line to cleanse, tone etc; then for my cosmetics I is Minerelles - a mineral base cosmetic line that feeds the skin from the outside in. Check out the link below and then let me know what you think:
https://www.shaklee.net/choice-wellness/prodHB_Home

Everything is 100% money back guarantee so there is no risk in trying the products; plus it is all natural. Plus I can bring you a sample to try if you like.

Definitely check with the dermatologist about Differin. Not only does it clear up adult acne, it helps smooth fine lines on your skin. It contains something similar to Retin-A and the insurance will pay for it if it is used for acne.

I have adult acne. I have tried EVERYTHING!
What finally worked (and I dont know why I thought of it in the first place) was going to the dermatologist. The visits, plus the prescriptions were cheaper with my insurance than all of the designer facial cleansers I tried over and over that didn't work. My insurance even pays for microdermabrasion twice per month.
I guess I thought of acne as a cosmetic problem. But once I thought about it, it is very painful, can lead to infections, etc. It is definitely a medical problem and finally its under control! Try your dermatologist!

Those products are so expensive. If you are spending that kind of money, you should go to a dermatologist who can recommend products that will do what you want and your insurance will cover most of the cost. Differin gel works for me. It is expensive, but insurance covers most of it.
