My daughter is 2 weeks old, and she does not sleep ____@____.com example this morning she was up from 3 am to 7 am, she doesn't scream she's just awake. She does act uncomfortable, so I gave her gas drops which did not really help much. I am breast feeding and thought maybe something I ate is bothering her, but if that were the case wouldn't she be like that all day not just @ night? I did not have this problem with my other kids so I have no idea what to do about a baby who has their days and nights confused. She sleeps just fine during the day, I make sure there are no lights, and noise @ night, no stimulation, I just don't know. All I know is I am on VERY tired mommy.

What can I do next?

SWADDLE SWADDLE! Get the Kiddopatamous Swaddle me blankets (in cotton so you can stretch it tightly) from Babies R Us ... they are about $10 AND a sound machine or white noise maker..... hope it helps.....

I really feel for you. My daughter was the same way for the first two months and I know how exhausting that can be for everyone. My daughter was a wiggle worm from the moment she was born, so when we would swaddle her she would immediately wiggle/kick her way out of the blanket. After a while we thought this meant she didn't want to be swaddled so tightly, so we started to just wrap her loosely but that didn't help. Then one day on impulse I bought one of the velcro swaddlers (kiddapotamus brand) and it was like a miracle! She slept straight through the night and has been a great sleeper ever since! Since you didn't mention how you swaddle her, this may not help but I thought I would offer the suggestion just in case. Good luck!

If your baby isn't crying, and is just awake, I wouldn't worry about it, and if she is only 2 weeks old that is quite normal for them to hve days and nights mixed sometimes , Maybe talk to her and sing or something around the last feeding before (bed time) and she may stay awake a little longer, and then get back to having days and nights strightend out.

That's so normal at that age for them to still have their days and nights confused. What really helped with mine was the Prince Lionheart Slumber Bear. It has the sound of a heartbeat from inside the womb. It worked WONDERS with my daughter. I think that it just takes a little time for them to get use to things and adjusted to the time. Good luck, and hang in there!!
