Patchouli.. KIDDING :):) why not call the rectory of the church and ask them? They would probably be delighted to tell you..
Happy Easter!!
Can anyone give me the name of the incense that the Catholic Church uses on Easter Sunday?......IF there is a difference from then to another service(mass). And where I could track some down?
My mother in Law has been asking me to track it down for years........She brought it up again last night......So I am trying to have an answer for her today:)

Frankincense, I like it too!
Just call your local Catholic church, I'm sure they'd be thrilled to help you!
Happy Easter :)

It is made mostly of Frankincense
You'll have to ask your church, because priests have some discretion here (according to my frocked cousin I pestered). Even when certain types are called for different parishes used different brands.
To know: Spiritually frankincense & myrrh MUST go together. One calls demons and the other banishes them. Using only 1 either invites evil spirits in, and using the other banishes the holy spirit. So, spiritually, the are NEVER used alone.
to me it smells like pochuilie (sp) but there are websites that carry the Catholic mass incense. ziegler is one of them google pochuilie and they come up. I do believe it frankensense (sp) that is burned.
Happy Easter (in addition to good luck in your quest to find this for your MIL!)
Smiles!
