Now that I am done having children and am working on getting back into shape, I would like to know if there is any way to get rid of my terrible stretch marks. I have read about lazer treatments but worry that they cost a lot but do not work. Any one have any suggestions or success stories to share? My marks are the worst I have ever seen on any one, so this is really more than just a cosmetic issue.

I too have the same issue and have been looking for some help. I have read alot of good things about Bio oil and also a product called Stri Vectin. I have not tried either yet because I wanted to do some more research first. I know they sell Bio Oil at wal-mart and other stores but not sure about the Stri Vectin, I haven't been able to find it.
I would love to get rid of my stretch marks also so please if you find something that works other than the expensive laser treatments, let me know.
Good luck & I hope you find an answer!!

Mine are really bad too...I mean tiger stripes. Many have faded though and are starting to get very faint...so I have hope for the worst of them...time helps to heal as well.

Dr. Oz said that the only thing that works is the laser treatments, but I am sure it is very expensive. They all seem to be really expensive. I just want some sun spots zapped on my face and that is supposedly 3K. I would think stretch marks (at least like mine : ) would take a lot more work. You might find some one that is willing to cut a deal. You just want to make sure they are experienced. I just don't see why it has to be so expensive. It's that much because they know how bad we want it and that we'd pay thousands for it. It's really a bummer.

Unfortunately, we are all stuck with them. I first got them from growing too fast (from 5'6 to 5'9 1/2 in 12 months.) I have had them since I was fifteen! The laser treatments just reduce the look, i.e. take the red out. Time will do it as well. I have heard good things about bio-oil and it is cheaper than the strivectin I think. I do know that men do not really pay attention to the small things that bother us. Good luck to you. The rest of us Tiger Striped ladies feel your pain.

I had terrible angry red stretch marks after having my son on the underside of my stomach. Someone told me to get a product called The Little Yellow Stick. It's 100% pure cocoa butter in a stick the you push up little by little. I used it every day and it really faded the stretch marks. Now they are barely visible.

I've also been using some firming creams lately. The one that seems to work the best was the St Ives firming body lotion, but the Palmers Cocoa Butter firming lotion works OK too.

You may also want to check out one of those medical spas that do laser treatments, laser hair removal and lipo disolve etc. (Like Sona Medspa). If you search for medical spas in your area I bet you will find one. It can't hurt to have a consultation or call and ask some questions, or see what their web sites have to say.

I also have really horrendous stretch marks across my upper thighs where they are visible to all if I wear a swimsuit. I've looked for a solution and there really is none. There are things that reduce the redness, but not that get rid of them. The only way to actually get rid of them is the have the skin removed where they are and having the other skin around them pulled together. This is not an option for me, and I guess for most.
