Hello,

I have a medela breastpump that I know I am not going to ever use again (my hubbie is getting his vasectomy next friday) I bought it new for a little under $300 and used it for ten months, although I didnt use it that often because I am a SAHM so I only used it when I needed to leave milk for the sitter once a week when we have our date night. Needless to say it is in really good conditon. I would hate to just throw it away since it was a pretty penny.. Are breastpumps something that you can resell??

What can I do next?

Ummm. Not exactly.
Medela makes pumps that are for single users only. Other pumps are made so that milk can only go one way and Medela pumps are made so that milk can go either way (in the tubing that is).
There is a technical term for it, I just read a big article on it recently. Very interesting (and sad) to learn that Medela is not a honest to goodness breastfeeding friendly company. They break a lot of legal rules when it comes to advertising.

Anyhow! Sorry, not answering the question...
So, they are technically not safe for multiple users because there could be milk contamination. I would not try to sell it. BUT if you have a family member or friend that would be comfortable using it..go for it.
I have 2. One my SIL gave me.

Ok here is the article I read: http://justwestofcrunchy.com/2011/01/19/the-problems-with...

If you go down past the picture of the pump it talks about closed and open operating systems.

Hope this helps!

ETA: Just in case you don't read my links and because there seems to be some confusion..the tubing, shield, whatnot is NOT the issue w/ sharing pumps. Those things can be sanitized. It's the MOTOR that is the issue. You cannot replace/clean the motor...

I would sell it minus the parts that actually touch the milk, but look into how much it will cost to replace all the tubing ect before setting a price.

Yes you can sell it. You can buy replacement parts that need be. I bought a Medela from my friend. 60 bucks.

If you put that on craigslist, it will be gone.

I agree... I also sold mine on Craig's list. Sounds like it's in great shape - shouldn't have a problem selling it!
