my son is 5 years old and Im looking at numerous places to have his party. Something outdoor is great in manhattan? i want something exciting and something different.. any ideas? has anyone used evite as an invitation? does parent like that or actual invitation?

If you're looking for an outdoor birthday party venue in Manhattan you should check out places in Central Park. I know for fact there's an amusement park there. I've actually taken my son there, and I'm pretty sure they do birthday parties. The name of the place is Victorian Gardens, and I think they also have website you can check out. Hope this helps.
The children’s museum - I think it is in Garden City also the science museum (near the world’s fair grounds) might be good –A zoo would be good – I am not sure there is one in Queens something small like the prospect zoo in Brooklyn.
Parks are great places - I had two parties for my son (with an October birthday) in them - one in a local park down the street, the other a larger county park with picnic facilities.
If you mentioned where you were located, people could give more specific suggestions.

Hi K., I don't know where you live, but maybe a local park that is secured and very kid-friendly, or a gymnastics center where there's less clean-up for you to do. Swim parties are fun at this age, too. Hope this can be of some help.
