Seeking Treasure Chest for 3 Year Old

My daughter is at the age where she loves treasure chests (that's what she calls my jewelry box) and putting "treasures" in them. She'll collect quarters, mardi-gras necklaces, littlest petshop toys, puzzle pieces, etc and put them in random boxes and buckets and carries them around. Her 3rd bday is coming up and I'd love to get her a "real" treasure chest. She's bonkers though, so it needs to be sturdy and simple. Has anyone seen these? I'm thinking something small enough that she can carry, but big enough to put stuff in.
Sorry for such a random question. She's so quirky! :)

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks Amanda! I'm not looking for a jewelry box, but more of a classic "treasure chest" like she sees on Dora saves the mermaids. I'll look at the import store like you suggested.

IKEA has a cloth toy chest and I'm planning on getting it for my son and his toys.

Look at Michael's or Hobby Lobby in their wood craft section. I bet they have one that you can paint or decorate.

Do you have a flea market near you? My son has a pirate room and we went searching for a treasure chest there. We found one from the 1800s for all of $30. It is amazingly sturdy, and is really cool. Grant it, we were looking for a BIG one (it truly is the size of a treasure chest), but I know that we had seen smaller ones (carrying size) as well. Just a thought... :)

I know you want something resembling an actual treasure chest, and you got some great suggestions for that. But I just wanted to add the option of something like a make-up box, remember Kaboodles? Something like that has a handle, opens up to multiple compartments and trays to keep 'treasures' in, and completely portable and can be carried around easily. I've seen transparent, different color plastic ones, and even some real glitzy, sparkly ones, like silver hologram, etc. You could even buy some more jewels, or glitter glue, and decorate it up even more, maybe put her name on it, etc. to make it really her treasure box!! I think that would be a really fun project.

My daughter just turned six. She has a vanity (an old desk that I painted purple) in her room covered with "treasures". We love to go to garage sales together and I think she has about 5 jewelry boxes now full of treasures she has bought for next to nothing - she always seems to find something at every sale. Anyway, I would just look around at your local stores for a nice jewelry box, not too expensive and maybe not with a mirror in it because of her age. Another option is to look at one of those import stores (we have World Market and Pier One by us). Sometimes they have all kinds of exotic looking boxes with latches and such that might look more like a "treasure box".
Something else I just thought of - you could go to a local craft store and buy a plain wood box and let her paint it!!!

Sounds like the contents will vary a lot...how about a small backpack? Should be easy to come by.

Craft supply stores usually have them... unless you're talking BIG (er than a breadbox). But the giant ones are easy to google
