Thank you so much for all the responses on when to start swimming lessons. I am highly considering on putting my daughter in some soon. Does anyone know of a good place in the Saginaw/Fort Worth area. I am willing to drive a little bit of a distance, but not anything drasically far!
Thanks in advance,
A.

Years ago I help taught both my children when they were 6 months old. They did well but my son got an ear infection and had to wait until he was 8 mo. Then again my daughter was 2 and half and not as willing at that age.

I can not speak highly enough about this program. They use area residential pools and have groups of about 6-8 students about the same age for 2 weeks. It is real intense. They have the parents wait in the front. Often, about the 3-4th day the child doesn't mwant to return but by the 5th day they are proud of their accompishments. They first teach them to swim to the wall and climb out. My girls are 10 mo apart so they had to know how to swim before they were around a pool. They took lessons at 2 and 3 yrs. They if she isn't able to swim, after 2 weeks, at an age appropriate level you may continue with free lessons until it is accomplished - which is no more than a week.
