I had Kirby representatives over my house and they sold me a Kirby vacuum. My mother had one when I was a teenager and I don't remember much about it. I am just wondering if anyone has comments on the Kirby. If you like it or don't, if it is a good investment or not. Please let me know, so if it was a bad idea I have time to return it. I do have a Kirby -- but just a vacumm it is not a shampoo'er.
I love it & it is a hand-me-down from my mother--so Im not sure exactly how old it is---but it still works great..

I recently purchased a Kirby also and have been extremely happy with it's performance. I have not yet used the shampooer, as the salesman told me that I would want to wait a month or two, just to get the dirt out of my carpet first. The first time I used it on my living room, I got one inch of dirt in the bag and that was after I had vacuumed with my other one! I know it seems like a lot of money, but when you look at all of the benefits it now has compared with the old ones, I think you will be happy with it.
I don't have a kirby, but my Grandma used to work for them and my mom and all my aunts used to have them. They all loved them! Forget Dyson, when I am in the market for a better vacuum I'll definitely go Kirby!

I bought a Kirby about 6 years ago. I absolutely LOVE it. I was buying a vacuum cleaner almost every year (cheap ones) before that. We have always had dogs and I really needed something heavy duty. Kirby is one of the best things that has come into my life!! You will love it and not regret it. They are industrial and will last forever. (My grandma had one, it's the only one I ever remember her having). Best wishes! C.
I have the Kirby Sentria. LOVE IT! We spent $900 on it and it's sooooo worth it! This thing can clean ANYTHING! Amazing! I know that it will probably be the last vacuum we'll ever buy so I could justify the price. (Our old vacuums would be about $200+ and they would die after 4 years)
