Seeking "Regular" Moms

Hi H. (beautiful name, by the way),
If you're willing to travel to Lake Zurich, there's a mom's group at Alpine Chapel on the 1st and 3rd thursdays of every month, mornings and evenings called MOPS (mothers of preschoolers). The evening group is very laid back and fun, and you'll hook up with lots of cool women who have a lot in common with you.
I find the group is just what I need to recharge my batteries!

Check out www.meetup.com for moms groups in your area! Also, some cities have local mothers groups. Check maybe with your chamber of commerce or park district office possibly.

I'm a member of a group through meetup.com You can search that site for various groups in your area. I live in Palatine too and joined the NW Suburbs Moms of Babies and Toddlers group. Last I heard, we were closed to membership so the current folks could get to know each other better, but if you check back occasionally, it should open back up again. A nice group of people who meet around kids' activites, etc.

"Regular" isn't a term often applied to me, but drop me a line. I live in Elgin and go into the office in Schaumburg sometimes. Palatine's pretty close and I totally know what you mean about wanting to find some friends who are local, have kids and are a bit off. :)

I'm far from regular, but love to go out. Actually, I'm a party girl! haha

I'm also a SAHM, who has a small childcare in my home during the week. I also have a 15 month old daughter who is so wonderful to be around with. But even though I love kids and hang with them all day, I NEED that adult time as well. Palatine isn't too far from Bartlett (which is where I live). I am also looking to hang some nights and even days. If you want to hang sometime or just chat, let me know. Maybe even zoo trips or something.
