Starfall.com is a good safe site. It is educational and fun.I used it when I taught preschool and 1st grade and it helped special education students.
My older kids love to play on the family computer. We have pretty much exhausted the PBS kids and Playhouse Disney websites and are looking for other fun and educational computer sites out there for preschoolers. I'm ideally looking for free sites, but if there are exceptional programs out there for sale I'd be interested in hearing about those too. Thank you in advance!

I'll second the starfall.com . All three of my boys, 8, 5, and 2 love it! I think it's pretty great too.
My 4YO loves this website. http://www.starfall.com/n/level-k/index/load.htm?f She has been playing on it since a little before she turned 3. My 1yo stands beside her and watches her play and dances to the music.
our youngest 2 liked the jump start. it was fun and educational. good luck. mom of 7, R. you can buy the disk as wal-mart. cheap.
try Kidzui..it's a website designed by parents for kids up to 12 years old. instead of logging on to the regular internet, the kids click on a big K for Kidzui and can't go to unapproved websites. good luck!
Have you tried Nickjr.com. I haven't b/c my son is still too young, but I'm sure I will later on.
Starfall.com is EXCELLENT and FREE! The curriculum will take your child from 2 years old through first grade reading. My son loved it and many schools use it.
My daughter's teacher showed her class this site, and my daughter loves to do it now at home as well. She calls it "Goo Games." It's a great one, along with Starfall. http://www.earobics.com/gamegoo/gooey.html
If you have a girl, my 4 yr old daughter loves the Barbie and Polly Pocket websites. They have alot of games, however not very educational. We stick to PBS for education, but they are good websites just for games.
We purchased a couple of CD's for toddlers. My sons really liked the Fisher Price ones and I believe Jumpstart had one for toddlers as well. This was many years ago my youngest is almost 16.
both of my kids use Jump Start. It costs $8 per months for unlimited use and users. Teaches phonics, how to listen to direction, letters, number, adding, subtracting, etc depending on level children are on.
It is a GREAT site and teaches kids about letters and early reading skills.
Have fun!
I also recommend Kidzui. It's awesome! They can still play their fav's PBS kids, etc plus SO many other sites that have been preapproved for your childs age group. Also other games, homework help, research help for when they get older. Also, I found on the regular internet my son kept getting on a website that seemed harmless but a virus would get on my computer. That doesn't happen w/ Kidzui.
Plus it's FREE!!
I recommend www.starfall.com as well. It is an amazing website for little ones and it's free.
