Hi, I have an 18 month old son who I would like to get into preschool a few days a week, but I have a hard time trusting what each school says about themselves. I need some good feedback where I know mom's in my area have taken their kids to and feel at ease while their child is in school. Thank you for any feed back

What can I do next?

Hi A.,
I know how hard can get to find a good preschool or child care to trust them and for us be sure our babies are in a good hands.
do you try a home care providers?
I am a home care provider and my services provide to the babies that I care a home environment, warm, secure, clean and the most important focus in each of them listen and provide them the attention that each baby or toddler needs.
I do not know where exactly you live, but I will suggest you to call Clark County Child Care Association ###-###-#### they find you home care providers in your area and you can be sure that all the providers have been check back ground, they are license by the city, they have Health card and Metro police card. Also we are license to take care only 6 children.
Good Luck!!
Doris

Hi A.,
A coworker of mine used ABC daycare on Alta & Tonopah. She seemed to be very happy with them and I thought she might be someone who would be picky. I went in there and found that in the baby room I saw the provider change a diaper and she washed her hands and the baby washed her hands too. She knew exactly what she had to do after a diaper change. I didn't choose them because I felt it was not fitting for my baby at the time. You will be the best judge, so go check them out. You can tell he someone from the county sent you in there because there is another girl who works there and uses them too.

I also have an 18 month old little girl. I completely understand your fear of preschools. My daughter has been in daycare since she was born, and we have been to a few places that were horrible. We take our kids to a place called childtime. there are a couple in the valley and they have been so great for us. They have a caring environment and she already can count to five. she doesnt cry when i drop her off, it is great. But mainly you need to feel comfortable with the people you drop your child off with. we went to a place called kids r kids for a little while, and I never felt comfortable with them or the program. i came early and saw things i am glad i did, they even had video you could see during the day. just be careful like you are doing and you will find a great place, it will just take time.

I am in the same boat with the need for play dates. it is hard to hang out with people who dont have kids. and some parents are way to over the top. it is a balance not everyone has,

Hi A.,
I had to put my daughter in daycare when she was about 10 weeks old, I was reluctant at first and felt like I was being a bad Mom, but I have realized that this was the best thing I could do for her. I take my daughter (13 mos. old) to the Children's Choice at the MGM. They have several locations around the valley - Sunset, Palace and Texas Stations all have them. They are the BEST!! Pretty reasonably priced, because you can go part time, that can be hard to find. The care givers are GREAT! It a very clean and secure enviornment. She has learned so much and plays so well with others! I highly reccomend it. Good luck with your search!

I don't have any ideas for downtown daycares, but if you live close to downtown you should take your son to the Lied Museum. All of my kids love it and there is also a library in the same building. Plenty of cool stuff for parents too.
