Our daughter attends Lakewood Montessori and our son (6) attended there prior to starting school. Can't say enough great things about it. We love the Montessori program and the teachers at this location are fabulous!
I am looking for a great preschool for my daughter who will be 3 in April. Have any of you had good experiences with a preschool in the Lee's Summit area? Any bad experiences you could share would be helpful also.

Hi S.,
We sent my daughter to the Genesis Montessori School. It's in the Olive Tree Children's center in the Lees Summit United Methodist Church. We loved it and could not say enough good things!
My daughter attends ABC Preschool in Lees Summit (near the HyVee on 3rd/Ward Rd & not to be confused w/ the ABC Preschool in Greenwood). It's a private preschool run in her teachers' home - she has a classroom set up in her basement. My daughter has learned so much from Ms. Regina... my husband and I are constantly amazed and without a doubt, she will be ready to start kindergarden in the fall. Her parents as teacher educator actually said they had little concerns w/ my daughter because they knew her teacher and knew she was in "good hands". She has open enrollment for next fall this Saturday for kids not currently enrolled. Good luck!
My son has attended Our Lady of the Presentation Early Childhood Center for 2 years and he loves it. I really like the atmosphere there and he is fully ready for Kindergarten. They are doing their open enrollment in the next few weeks. I also have friends who go to Stepping Stones which is in the church next to Wal-Mart. They have been really pleased with their experiences there too.
My kids attended We Care at Woods Chapel United Methodist Church...we loved their whole program. I think they are doing sign-up's for next fall right now...there might be a waiting list though. Hope this helps!
Hi S., we currently use Stepping Stones and love it. I had a hard time finding a school though. I am sure you have thought of this, especially since you have been through this with one already, but I would just take extra time to think about what exactly you want out of the preschool; cirriculum, religious, overall teaching style, etc. I personally LOVE motessori schools I just can't afford it. But their teaching methods, if they are a true montessori, are fantastic. Teachers rave about students who have attended there. Good Luck!!
HI there, not sure if you have found a preschool yet, but we started attending Boone Preschool off Douglas downtown LS. LOVE IT! They are all teachers or were teachers at one point and we love the set up.
