My dentist is Catherine Koo is Frisco. Needless to say, she does not specialize in Pediatric Denistry, but she has the talent for it! She made going to the dentist fun and nothing to be afraid of for five of my grandkiddos - the youngest of who was barely 2 when he started going to her.
I was always terrified of the dentists - having been a "military brat" while growing up. Those military dentists didn't believe in novacaine. Until I started going to Dr Koo 7 yrs ago, I would almost have an anxiety attack. She has such a smooth, calming voice. No more fear! She is on Preston in Frisco in strip by Tom Thumb. We use Frisco Dentistry for Kids and we love them. My son is actually upset when he doesn't have a cavity - he had 6 filled and didn't feel an thing - just got to watch TV in the ceiling. The entire staff is wonderful. It's located on Preston Rd. in the Target shopping center by Krispie Creme Donuts. They are currently working on building a new office as well. Dr Kelly Ettlebrick and Dr Ty. They are fabulous. My son loves to go to the dentist. Their staff is so comforting and friendly as well.
My 3 & 5 year olds really like Dr Kelli Ettelbrick and her partner Dr Ty Hinze...have also been to Dr Rubin. Dr Rubin is nice however the office seems to care more about making sure you're not going to miss your appointment and getting the money.
My kids also like Dr. Tim at Texas Pediatric Dentistry in McKinney.
Our dentist isn't specifically pediatric, either, but Dr. Robert Neal in Frisco (next to Le Peep) has always been great with the kids, and is one of the most honest dentists I've ever seen. His office is showing some wear, at least in the waiting room, but I really don't mind that. To me, it shows that he's more concerned with taking care of your teeth, not padding his bottom line. He's always busy, so lack of clients is not the problem. Plus, his staff is consistently kind, thorough, and caring. Good luck!

My dentist isn't a pediatric, but she's been great with my kids. I have three, 13, 11 and 2 year old. The older two love her, they have had cavities and still not a problem. My 2 year old hasn't had anything done, she's just looked at his teeth, he fell and chipped the front teeth. She said he's still a little too young (wasn't quite two yet) however, she'd cap them when he got a little older. We have an 8 year old and a 2 year old - we have been going to Texas Dental in Plano (specifically Dr. Lazarus). They are located near the intersection of Preston / Plano Parkway.
They have flat screen TV's on the ceiling, and kid friendly DVD's that they play during the exams (my 8 year old loves to watch SpongeBob while getting her teeeth cleaned!). We just took our 2 year old for the first time, and they didn't really do any exam on her, but they did show her all the instruments, and let her touch/feel them so that she won't be scared when the time comes to do a true exam.
I'm VERY dentist-phobic (is that a word?) - seriously...I have NEVER liked going to the dentist! Dr. Lazarus and his team is very caring and outgoing. I recommend them every chance I get!

Dr.Tim at Texas Pediatric Dentistry is wonderful. I took my 4 year old their for the first time last year and everyone from the front desk to the x-ray tech were completely wonderful. It's in Mckinney off of Custer.

We love Dr. Caleen Cantrell in Frisco at Pediatric Smile. The staff is very kind and helpful. My 5 y/o just had a cavity filled and he acted like it was no big deal!! No drama, crying involved!!

Dr. Lisi in Allen gets our vote! We've been going there for about 6 years and my daughter has never had a single cavity! They do great preventative work, and Dr. Lisi is so sweet to our daughter and to us! We LOVE Dr. Lisi and her staff!!
L., I was recommended to a dentist here in Allen that was fantastic. We really had a great experience with her. My 2 year old even let their dental hygienist floss his teeth. Her name is doctor Dr. Lisi and she is located in a red brick building across the street from the Allen public library in downtown off of main street.

My kids have been going to Dr Lisi in Allen. We love the environment and the staff is wonderful. They have games for kids to play while waiting. They have toys as well. They have tvs that play movies while the child is getting their exam. At the end of the visit, Dr Lisi gives the child a token to use in one of the prize machines. Her number is ###-###-####
I recommend DR. BRENDA REBER, she is located on Virginia & Ridge, next door to Dr. Alvis, Pediatrician. Dr. Reber is a family dentist not a pediatric dentist. When I was looking for a dentist for my 6 year old, I heard some stories that I didn't like about pediatric dentists. Did we have pediatric dentists 30 years ago? All I remember is going to the same dentist that my parents went to. ANYWAY, Dr. Reber is wonderful, she has 4 kids of her own and is great with kids. They have a child seating in the waiting room and they have tv's in the ceiling for the kids to watch. They also put fun sunglasses on the kids so the lights don't bother them. My kids have been going to Dr. Lisi in Allen for 8 years now, we love her. I work in the dental field in Allen (for an orthodontist) and we send most of our patients to Dr. Lisi and Dr. Gough in Allen, if you want someone in McKinney Dr. Tim Brister is great, his staff is super sweet! Good luck!

My kids see Dr. Scott at Just for Kids in Mckinney. He's at Eldorado and Alma. My son started when he was just 1 and my daughter has been going since she was 4. They are 3 1/2 and almost 7 now. Amee's had some cavities but didn't have any trouble with the fillings. Hope you find someone you like.
Hi! We use Dr. Alexander on Park and Shiloh in Plano. He's great, very personable. Had my 3yr old there a couple of months ago. He just doesn't do babies cavities, he referred us to a specialist, but we haven't gone yet. They are wyliekidsdds.com.
