I see Dr. Mark Morrison at the Female Healthcare Associates - ###-###-####. He's awesome and, so it seems, are some of the other docs in the group from what the other gals said. Good luck to your sister-in-law.

My sister-in-law is looking for an OB/GYN associated with Alexian Brothers Hospital in Elk Grove. If you can get an epidural or spinal with the midwife group, then she is interested in recommends for them too.

I had both of my boys with Alexian Brothers. My OB/GYN was Jennifer Moran. She is the best doctor I've ever had. She make you feel really comfortable and will talk to you about anything. She is great, trust me. My boys are 7 and 4 now and she is still in contact with me to check up and see how the boys are doing. Her is her phone number if your interested ###-###-####. Hope this helps.
I used Midwest Midwifery out of Alexian for my daughter and I would highly recommend them. I just love those ladies! The practice has changed since I had her though, they went from 8 midwives down to 3, and are working with a different backup OBGYN.
And yes, you can get pain meds, epidural with a midwife. That's a huge misconception that they wouldn't allow it. They will of course do other pain management techniques, like massage and the tub too. And the midwife is in there with you, not like the DR. who only comes in when its time to push.
Feel free to ask me more if you like.
Dr. Moran just delivered my 3 week old and I love her. She's out of Female Healthcare Associates and they have some great docs. My normal doc is Dr. Binnet, but of course he wasn't on call that day. But Dr. Moran was awesome and I'm glad it was her that was there that day. They have other offices in Arlington Hts, Bloomingdale and Naperville as well as Elk Grove.
