Greenwich Hospital also has a great new mom's group- I went with my first and really enjoyed it. Good luck!!!
Hello. I am about 5 weeks away from giving birth. I am just trying to find some new mom's groups in my area- Norwalk, Westport, Darien, Greenwich. Groups that you can take the babies exercising, or just a support group...anything that is out there- Any suggestions? Thank you!

you can check out stroller strides- in greenwich i think they meet on greenwich ave, also check the greenwich library (or your local library) they have story/song classes but you have to register. it's free with a greenwich library card. good luck with your new baby!
As previously stated, the group at Stamford Hospital is super laid back, and meets at 11am on Fridays, first flr of the Whittingham Pavilion (I think that's what it's called-it's the maternity wing). I went for 3 weeks before I went back to work and wish that I had attended earlier. No judgements-open discussions. Congrats and good luck!
Fridays at noon at Norwalk hospital there is a group for new moms- it's great!
Hi there,
I have a 6 month old and during my maternity leave went to Norwalk Hospital for a mommies group. It's on Fridays from 12:30 to usually around 2. It's free and you can breastfeed or whatever you want there. A lacation consultant from the hospital runs it and she is awesome. I got a lot of questions answered about everything. If you call the hospital and ask about it, it's called the 4th trimester group I think. Also, you don't have to deliver at Norwalk to attend.I've met some really great girls from it and we hang out a lot now with all the babies. As for exercise look up B.A.B.Y. health and fitness out of Westport. A girl named Jaimie runs it and I've been taking their stroller class. It's SO hard! Good luck and enjoy the last few weeks feeling those sweet kicks!
Congratulations on your first baby!!
Most of the hospitals have New Mom's groups which are great for support during those first weeks.
Also CT Moms is a great group of both experienced moms and new moms. There is online support and playdates etc.

There are many moms in the group from Norwalk.
There is also the Mom's Club of Norwalk and the Newcomer's Club of Connecticut (Norwalk branch). These are usually great groups for socializing, support and playdates.
You can also check for groups through Meetup.com. Most areas have a Stroller Strides group for exercising with your baby and socializing with other moms.
Best of luck!

Norwalk Hospital has a new mom's groùp. For more information you can call ###-###-####.
I delivered at Stamford Hospital where they had a new-mom's group that met every Friday morning until the baby was 4 months old. I went pretty much every week and met some fabulous women that I'm still in touch with (4 years & 2 additional kids later). I highly recommend the hospital group. you don't have to deliver at STamford to go to the group and you'll get to hear some very similar stories and concerns while meeting some life-long friends.
I now live in Fairfield and Googled Fairfield moms group and there are 3 here. I just have to find the time to look into it.
Good luck with the new baby and congratulations!
