I am part of the Saint Paul Mom at Home Meetup. You can find it at www.meetup.com. It is free and there are always new members joining. This group has kept me sane and has been a very positive social outlet. Check it out.
I am looking for a group for new moms in the Saint Paul area. I have only found on-line groups but would love to find a group to meet with regularly for support and adult interaction!

Hi S.,
You can find listings for MOMS Club (Moms Offering Moms Support) online at www.momsclub.org
Through that link I did see two clubs listed for St. Paul and their direct websites are:
http://www.geocities.com/alzdana/MOMS_Club_MCE.html
http://www.geocities.com/sapcomowmoms/
Many of the MN chapters can be found here:
http://www.momsclub.org/links.html#Minnesota
But there may be more not listed, so contact them if you don't see your city listed.
I've been a VERY active member of the North Club in Woodbury the past 3 years and love all that it as brought to my life and the many friendships my boys and I have found.
My advice, get involved (even volunteer for something little like hosting a playdate) in the beginning. Many of the moms have known each other for years, but give it some effort and time and you will feel right at home!

Hi S., I also belong to the St. Paul Moms at Home group (http://sahm.meetup.com/114/). They do have an online message board, etc, but meet for different playdates almost daily! I've met some fantastic moms there!!
Good luck!

Have you thought of looking for class to take with your new baby? I teach Kindermusik classes and one which I teach is for infants and moms. Everytime I teach I have new moms join and so often a bond is formed between the dfferent moms in class and progresses outside of the classroom. Or perhaps check into your Community Center.
Kindermusik classes can be found via Internet and can locate one in your area.
Good Luck and Congrats on you new baby
