I'm in a Moms group that meets the 2nd and 4th Wed and Thurs. of the month. We have different speakers each time talk to us about topics relevant to raising children and being moms. We have breakfast at 9:30, hear the speaker, have discussion time at our tables about the speaker's topic, then finish up by 11:30 a.m. Childcare is provided for and the cost for you and your child is $40 for the year. Babies under 6 months old usually stay at the table with their moms. We are similar to the MOPS International groups that meet around at various churches, but ours is not affiliated with MOPS so it's alot cheaper. I've heard the MOPS groups can be $100 a semester. We meet at Fellowship Bible Church North which is just west of the Target at Central and Parker in Plano. The link for the website to get more information or register is:

I'm new to this whole mamasource, its amazed me how well this all works. I've asked three very different questions and had tons of great responces!
I would love to offer you an opportunity you may have never considered before. I'm a Mary Kay consultant and LOVE what I do. Not too many people out there can honestly say they LOVE their job... I know you aren't looking for a job, but Mary Kay is so much more then just selling Lip Stick!
For so many women in our unit it is simply a great way to meet other sharp women out there. Several of which have children just like you! I would love to introduce you to our ultimate women's club if you'd like! Whether you decide to join the ranks and make money while you are at it is up to you! But I'd love to have you as a guest to one of our events! You'll meet several new women, be pampered with the number one brand, and who knows, maybe decide to join for the sisterhood itself.
It also is a great outlet for mom's too! I know it is for me! In fact I looked forward to our meeting last night all week long. Its kind of what kept me going this week... I have a two year old that takes a lot of my time and energy but Mary Kay is a great thing for me, and an amazing thing for my daughter! Growing up Pink is what we call children in a Mary Kay home and they are children of integrity!

I belong to several meetup moms groups so that I have several options to choose from as far as activities. Very nice women. You will be able to find anything you are looking for there. I second the Meetup.com. There is a Collin County Moms group that I enjoy. My second child is also a 3 mo old boy! Good luck finding some friends! It really helps.
