Seeking Moms for Group in Isle of Wight/Hampton Roads Area

I vicki I am also a stay at home mom, sort of. I have a creative memories business, I am a full time student on line and I work part time at the YMCA during the school year. I run the toddler time program there. I am located in Chesapeake, right off 664. I don't belong to mothers groups here either. Vicki, I live in Hampton and you are well over an hour from me, but Maybe we can get together twice a month or so, one time at your house, the next at mine so we both get stuck driving. I have a back yard that will very soon be fenced in and my kids love to have new friends. My daughter is starting preschool next week but we are always up for a cookout on the weekend.

I know the feeling of being isolated and having no friends. I really do have no friends. LOL. I joined meetup.com and found 2 playgroups here in Hamtpon and Newport News. There are groups closer to your area or you are welcome to join one on the peninsula if you dont mind paying for the gas to travel here. Through these groups I have made a couple of real friends finally, after being in this area for almost 4 years. So try meetup.com and see if you can find something that will be just right for you. I just moved to the same area and am in the same boat as you. We sound like we have a lot in common. Well, except for the dirty face part-I have OCD which I thought having children would cure, but I'm still waiting! :) I did notice in the local paper that there is an IOW Mom's Club.
