Seeking Information About Camilla Birth Control

I was prescribed Camilla birth control after my second child was born. I was breast feeding and was told by my doctor that I wouldn't have a period while on these and breast feeding. Well about 10 months into them with no periods at all my husband and I decided we wanted another baby. So I stopped taking them. It has been 1 year and 4 months since stopping them and we still cannot get pregnant. Those pills made me stop making eggs and screwed my whole system up. And on top of that I had a nurse tell me those pills built a lining up on my uterus that would take 1 1/2 years to shed. Has anyone else experienced this with these pills and have been able to get pregnant again? Ever? I'm worried this pills caused me to not be able to have kids anymore.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

My OBGYN is the one who told me they stopped my body from making eggs. I was put on various pills and have still yet to get pregnant. To top it off I now no longer have any insurance so I have no way of getting back to a doctor to be tested again. So I have no clue if I'm getting any better.

Most BC pills suppress ovulation. They don't stop you from making eggs.

Unless you know that for sure (having been tested to verify it), take a step back. You don't say how old you are, but things are wonky post baby, post pill.
Go see your GYN, and go through the regular series of tests. It may be something as simple as you not ovulating when you think you are. It may be something more complicated.
But no one out here can tell you that, and it's unlikely that the pill you were on "caused you not to be able to have kids anymore".

If that were true, I would have signed up for it years ago!

It's possible your system is just confused from having a baby and being on a pill. I had no period for a year after going off the pill after I had my daughter. Eventually I had to go to my doctor and be prescribed something that would make me start ovulating again. It was no big deal. Talk to your doctor, not a nurse.

I never heard of it, so I googled it, and this is what I found: http://www.webmd.com/drugs/drugreview-64301-Camila+Oral.a...
I stopped taking the pill a few years ago because with my changing hormones it was making me crazy. But this drug sounds awful. Just wondering whether you discussed a possible D&C to remove the built up lining, rather than waiting a year and a half? I have never undergone that, so that may be a really stupid idea, but I know that's what it is for. Someone with experience may know better.

ETA: All that said, I see no evidence that this pill causes infertility. Just saying…

BC does not stop you from making eggs. You are actually born with all your eggs. They mature as you do. I know nurses are wonderful but you should be talking to a doctor about this and what can be done. I took this for 4 days and I was a raging ravenous starving. i hated it.

Never heard of that. Your body goes through lots of changes with BC and after having a baby.

It not uncommon for weird changes in your body after a baby and birth control changes it more.

No, not time to get sue happy.

Just chill out, commumicate with your Dr. And go from that point on.

Good luck!
