Hi Moms! I am looking for a photographer in my area. I am dying to capture my 2 month old daughter on film!! I have found several that look/sound wonderful...until I read about pricing! I cannot afford to pay upwards of $40 per 8x10. I find photos from Sears, JCPenny, Wal-mart, ect. a little rushed, and a bit cheesey. I would love to have a session in our home, or outside. I'd even love to work with a semi-professional who just loves what they do. Thanks for any suggestions!

you can try www.rojofotodesign.com
he is a location photographer. he captures great moments.
I'm not sure what you would want to pay overall but I had a photographer come to my home to take my 2 month old daughter's pictures in January and they turned out fantastic. She gives you the cd with 30 images in black and white or color.
It was a flat rate of $150 for her time, the photos, etc. so if that fits your budget, email me and I'll send you the contact info.
She also took my 3 yr old son's photos last Fall at PB Kids and they were adorable.

I have a fantastic photographer that works out of her home. Her name is Amanda at www.foxvalleyphotography.com I have been going to her for 4 years instead of the rushed sear, jc, etc. I interviewed 10 different photographers & she was by far the best priced & spends any amount of time to capture the best pictures. good luck
We skipped the pro photographer, purchase a really nice 12 mp camera with lenses. We take pictures, have friends take pictures, have strangers take pictures when out and in a trusted place. We have been able to utilize the program that came with the camera to do amazing black and whites, centering, occasional photoshop and "air brushing" the cost of the camera was 500.00, but we have probably about 20,000 dollars worth of "photo session" photos that are beautiful, personal and lack the cheese/pose effect. I even have a blow up of a temper tantrum, I don't think any photographer would have gotten it. It is priceless and framed and in the entryway to our house.
