HI!
I have 2 children ages 8 yrs and 3 yrs. We are members of ARCHE in Arnold. We do meet every Thursday for 11 - 12 week semesters in the fall and spring. We meet at First Baptist Church Arnold and there are several families with older children. I'm not sure what kind of classes you feel you need help with, but if you decide to check out ARCHE it's great group to be a part of. We just moved to the Fenton area in the Spring of '08, and have made many friends through our homeschool group. It's so helpful to talk with other homeschooling mom's. Feel free to contact me if you want to. We have been homeschooling for 3 yrs. I was homeschooled myself and always dreamed of homeschooling my children and I love it!
I have also heard good things from other hs moms about SHARE, another group in the ST. Louis area. There is something called Homelink too, not sure if that's through SHARE or not. But I've heard that the classes are good. Don't know b/c we just do stuff through ARCHE. Hope you find what you need!
God Bless!

Check out archegroup.org - an Arnold based homeschool group. They have classes at a church in Arnold evey semester that are pretty reasonably priced. They have some other events as well. I know there are some groups and schools (Dayspring?) out West/North as well - especially Chesterfield, Kirkwood areas. St. Louis is actually a pretty big homeschool town compared to some other cities. Check out yahoo groups as well - there is a newsletter that comes out weekly or so listing a bunch of homeschool events and resources you can subscribe to.
