I am having trouble thinking up a good J name for our third child. My son is Jordan and my daughter is Jaidyn. Any suggestions would be great. Sorry, I should have told you that we were looking for a boy name. We had decided on Juliette if its a girl, but I do like having them all end in an n. You would think it would get easier the third time around.
Also it's amazing that some of you knew that my step-sons name does not start with a J. His name is Brayden. So far I like Jackson and Jamison, but I will let my husband read these tonight. Thanks to all.
We have picked Jace for a boy and Juliette for a girl. Thank you all for your help.

Edit: Can't believe I forgot to offer the idea of my own middle name, Jeannine! I also know an unusual boy name. I know a delightful man named Jamsheed. I always thought that was an ellegant name for a man.
I noticed that you not only have 2 J names, but that they are both 2 syllable names that end with N. I don't know if you want to keep it all that similar, but if the first two children have something in common the third does not, kids will notice it. My 3 syblings were given 2 middle names and I was only given one. As a child, it actually contributed to a feeling of being slighted or left out. There really are a variety of beautiful names that would work: Justin, Jaclyn, Joslyn, Jason, Jackson, Jarren...
Although the traditional spelling of one of my favorite girl names, Jasmine, does not end in N, it does end with that sound and can be spelled for the more exotic pronounciation, which puts the accent on the last syllable - Jasmeen. Justine can also be spelled Justeen.
Anyway, these were the thoughts that struck me. Hope it helps in the process.

Just another opinion that I think the 3rd one should not have a "J" name. If you DO decide to still go w/ the "J", dont end it w/ an "n". All the names sound too much alike - -- it's too much for people to take in when the names start and end w/ the same letter. Others wont remember the names as individuals b/c they sound too much alike. Just an opinion -- - so no one needs to write back slamming me. Thanks.

For a boy I like the name Jamison. It can also be spelled Jaimison, but I like the first spelling better.
For a girl I like Jewel. I also like Jasmine.
Jackson is also a good one for boys.

http://www.babynamewizard.com/ This is a cool site to explore. You can look up the popularity of a name. I hope that you will choose a name that isn't too unique the child will have to explain it or correct someone’s pronunciation of it. This baby may grow up to be a CEO of a company. Also, you want a name that will immature when your child is an adult.
Good Luck, the others suggestions are all nice. I liked Joy and Jillian too.

I like "Josiah" for a boy.
He was an 8-year-old boy King in the Bible. His story can be found in 1st and 2nd Kings.
His father was wicked King Ammon, but Josiah was a good person and a good king. So good, in fact that God postponed a certain judgment upon Israel until Josiah had lived his life and died. He ordered the rebuilding of the temple. In the process, the scriptures, which had been missing for a long time, were found and brought to him. When he read them, he ordered them read to the people. Then he decreed that he and all of the people would live according to the scriptures. As long as they did this (and as long as Josiah lived) God blessed the people and their land.

Hi J.~
We have a friend who's child is Jasten, after the parents 2 brothers - Justin & Jason put together.
Try the Duggar's at http://www.duggarfamily.com/ - all their children have J names. I happen to like it when families have a trend/reason/story behind their children's name. We know families that have children named in order of the alphabet (EX: Adam, Becky, Callie, etc.) & other friends where the girls all start with "KA" (Kaitlynn, Kaylee, Kasey, Karli, Karrah).
I like Jenna, too. Oh & then there is J. or Jessie :)

Hey J.,
I have to agree with Lorie B. on this one. If your step-son doesn't have a "J" name, you might be looking for trouble. I know it's just a name, but it matters to kids.
My name, obviously starts with an L. When I was about seven years old, I noticed my dad and I both had L names and my sister and mom didn't. That made me feel special that my father and I shared something.
When my husband and I found out we were expecting, we went through the name game. My husband's name starts with an L, too, so we thought of naming our son an L name. However, we decided against that because my daughter's name starts with a J. She is from my first marriage, and is named after my best friend who was killed in a car accident when we were twelve. All this to say, our son has a T name. :)
So, if your step-son doesn't have a J name, you may want to reconsider.
Just a thought.
You've received lots of great ideas for names already! Good luck! ls

I would agree with Lori B about considering your stepson but otherwise you have many good choices to pick from here. Just love and enjoy the new little one because no matter what the name is they will grow way too fast!!! My kids had the same syllables and the girls all had the 'n' ending so there are many ways to pick. Justin or Justine is nice.

My first thought was: Does your step son have a J name, too? You didn't mention his name and you aren't really including him in your request but he is mentioned in your about me section. I think that it will feel like you are going out of your way to exclude him if all of "your" children have J names and his doesn't, this baby will be a half sibling to this child, also.
Maybe you could find a name that would go with all of the siblings names, I think it would be a mistake to not take this into account.
Best of luck to you and your family!

I am sure that you have gotten many responses to your request but I will add in 2 "J" names that I like. I love the name Jade (its one of my daughters middle names - she has 2) but that is close to your daughters name so the other girls name is Johanna and for a boy I have always like the name Joel. Good luck in your name picking and enjoy your kids.
