I never knew I would have to "interview" a realtor, but after our last experience, I guess I will have to. We found a house we liked and called a company and got the first realtor they connected us to. She showed us the house and we placed a bid, etc. But, she never called to keep us posted. We kept waiting for a response from our offer and left messages with her and emailed. Two days later she calls. When it wasn't accepted, she didn't say let's keep looking, nothing. I was not going to keep calling her because if she is getting money, then she needs to at least have the courtesy to return calls or email, even if its to say I have heard nothing.
....with that said, has anyone used a GREAT realtor around here? I mean personally used them (not just a friend you like or a relative). I need someone very professional, who will return calls and be patient with a very picky buyer (I know what I want and am willing to wait for it). I am looking at starter homes, so it won't be a house in the big price range, which may turn off some realtors. Also looking in the watuaga, saginaw, ne fort worth area, and sw arlington. Any referrals would be great.

I know you've gotten a lot of responses already but had to put our Realtor on the list. His name is Justin Brown and he is awesome! A few of the realtors we talked to seemed to busy and a little too stuffy for us. Justin is so easy to work with & he really wants to find you the house that is perfect for you. He also has experience flipping houses and knows some about construction and such. He was a wealth of knowledge while we were hunting. Good luck finding your home!!

Cindy Schmidt is wonderful. We did not have the opportunity to use her to sell our house (we decided not to move) but she spent time with us helping us get our house "move-in ready." She is patient, listens to you, and I've had several people recommend her to me. She is my realtor of choice for our next move. Her contact information is: http://www.wesellmansfield.com/agent/default.aspx
I love, love, love my realtor! His name is Mike Starita. You can check out his website at www.staramco.com

Hi J.,
Judy is AWESOME. We became friends with her because she was such an amazing realtor to us when we were house-hunting 6 years ago. We ended up not even buying a house through her, (we decided later to build through another friend who is a builder...) but she remained a good friend regardless. She's the most diligent and personable realtor we've ever come across. Took us all over D/FW in our quest, always called back, completely professional and super sweet. I would recommend her 1000%.
Hope this helps!
Happy house-hunting!

We were very picky buyers too and struggled to find a good realtor. We finally found one at Keller- Williams. Her name is Sherry Leisure. Her phone # is ###-###-####. She lives in Arlington, but her office is in Southlake so she is familliar with the Arlington/FW areas. We absolutely loved her and we are very "needy" buyers. She was very patient and understanding. You'd love her too. Good luck with your search!
I am really suprised the realtor wasn't excited about a buyer. They don't all like to list houses, but prefer buyers almost always. Our realtor was amazing!!!! Her name is Hazel King with Century 21 Worldwide in Keller. She has years and years of experience and is very successful in the area. She will bend over backwards to help you find a HOME, not just a house. Her number is ###-###-####. She will take you for hours on end to look and she will work her tail off to ensure you get exactly what you want. I really hope you call her, you will not be disappointed!!!
Gary Hicks with Coldwell Banker in Arlington is excellent, not pushy very knowledgable about the area and awesome for putting in his own time looking for you but also will take you to see anything you want. I just bought a house in May and I know we looked for almost 5 months and never once had an issue getting together with him even when I called on Sunday after church to say I found the perfect house and would love to see it that afternoon. I don't know anyone better. His website is....
