I was wondering if anyone could suggest a local swim instructor or private swim classes in or near the Camarillo area. I want my son, who is 3 1/2 to better his swimming for the summer. My parents have a pool, so we are over there a lot. He is jumping in and learning, but he needs a little push from someone other than his parents. Thank you. -J

The YMCA in Camarillo has swimming lessons. I've seen kids of all ages learning to swim there. Their schedule changes all the time, but they have lessons in the afternoon and evening.

The Pleasant Valley Parks & Rec runs swimming lessons at the community pool on Temple. They will do private lessons as well as the usual group classes. Kristin is a friend. She is very gentle and nice. I wish we could have lessons with her, but I think my schedule is too busy this summer... we'll see.
You might check with your local YMCA or Parks and Recreation Dept. They usually have good programs.
